’90 Day Fiance’ Alums Rally Around Anna & Mursel During Medical Crisis
Not so beautiful and sweet as honey was 90 Day Fiance alums Anna Campisi and Mursel Mistanoglu’s day when Gino Campisi (one of her three sons from a prior marriage) was rushed to the ER. Seven days ago, her son suffered severe abdominal pain. Now, the crisis is over. But what’s incredible is the support they got from other TLC stars.
90 Day Fiance: Anna Campisi’s Son Suffers Medical Crisis
The same day that Gino had his medical emergency, Anna-Marie Campisi posted a quick note for their Beauty And The Bees customers on Facebook. The 90 Day Fiance star wrote: “We will be closed this evening due to a family emergency. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
The family emergency turned out to be appendicitis. This occurs when the appendix is inflamed. If remain untreated, the appendix can burst which can be life-threatening. No doubt, this worried Mursel Mistanoglu and his wife.
After emergency surgery, Gino was home the next day and “doing well” per Anna Campisi. And she posted a photo of her son waving from his hospital bed after surgery. 90 Day Fiance fans will remember him from their season.
TLC Cast Members Send Well-Wishes for Mursel Mistanoglu’s Stepson Gino
Fellow TLC cast quickly sent their well-wishes for Gino. First, David Toborowsky said he’s “sending prayers”. Then, Before the 90 Days alum Tom Brooks, aka Darcey Silva’s ex, wrote: “Wishing him a speedy recovery”.

Meanwhile, Tania Maduro, who appeared on 90 Day Fiance Season 7 with Anna, posted a row of hearts. You may recall that her ex, Syngin Colchester, was also on that season with her and Mursel Mistanoglu, among others.
Many TLC fans from across the world sent prayers and comments about their experiences with appendicitis. These viewers sent encouraging words not only in English but also in Turkish and German to show support for Anna’s family.
90 Day Fiance’s Anna & Mursel Going Strong After Son’s Emergency Surgery
Both Anna and Mursel are bee enthusiasts who met in a beekeeping group on Facebook. That’s while Mursel lived in Turkey. Then, they signed on for 90 Day Fiance season seven.
Their language and religious barriers challenged them. But in the end, Mursel stood up for their love. And he returned from Turkey and went all-in to be with his new wife. Now, he’s a happy stepdad to her three sons Joey, Leo, and Gino.

Plus, the pair added another member to the family last Spring. They welcomed a son, Gokhan John Mistanoglu, via surrogate in April 2022. Because of visa issues, Anna Campisi flew to Ukraine to welcome their newborn son without her husband Mursel.
The Turkish native and new dad was still under travel limits due to his green card status. Despite the strife seen on 90 Day Fiance, Mursel and his bride are still going strong. They married in 2019 and started a business together.
They founded Beauty And The Bees in Bellevue, Nebraska. It’s a store-front and online venture centered on their mutual love of bees and honey. For now, it appears that Anna’s son, Gino Campisi, is recovering well.
And while she tended to her son at the hospital, Mursel Mistanoglu held things down at home. Lucky for Anna that Gino’s young and should bounce back fast from his operation.
