‘1000-lb Sisters’: Tammy Slaton’s Stunning Money Reveal

1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton dropped some clues about how much money she is making recently. It shook many of them to find out at what a big payday she might be getting. And they wonder if it’s real.

1000-lb Sisters: Tammy Slaton Faces Accusations over Artwork

Tammy Slaton got some bite-back from fans lately over her attempts to start up a few side businesses. She set up many ways to bring in some cash. Working with now ex-business partner Quincy, she opened an online merchandise store.

But that effort met with pushback over claims that she’d lifted the artwork from original fan art and memes, protected by the artists’ copyright. Tammy and Quincy cleaned the slate and tried again, asking for free art for their merch, but that met with plenty of anger.

Plus, some 1000-lb Sisters fans claimed they ordered merchandise that never came. In addition to that endeavor, Tammy Slaton makes personalized videos for hire, and works towards becoming an online influencer. And of course, she gets that TLC check for her show.

TLC Star Says She Doesn’t Have Money

1000-lb Sisters co-star Tammy Slaton, got pushback from fans at the end of season two. They told her not to ask for money because she has a lot. Likely they assume because she’s got a TV show, that she’s doing well.

However, Tammy says that she doesn’t have any. She says that TLC has the cash, and anything that fans see her doing that is expensive is paid for by them. But some aren’t so quick to believe her.

For the first season of a new show like 1000-lb Sisters, it’s been rumored that TLC pays about $1,500 per episode of the show. Then, for each subsequent season, they usually pay the talent more.

At that rate, with ten episodes, this amounts to $15,000. But the question is whether Tammy has another means to support herself. If not, then the $15k really isn’t that much.

1000-lb Sisters: How Does Tammy Slaton Afford Medical Treatment?

With Tammy Slaton telling followers she doesn’t have money, they want to know how she can afford weight-loss surgery. Usually, gastric surgery also requires follow-up skin removal surgery. If she makes no money, how can she afford this?

That plays into how TLC likely compensates Tammy Slaton for her appearance on 1000-lb Sisters. She told viewers that they foot the bill for all of her medical care while she is on the show. Also, she hasn’t gotten the surgery yet.

So, while other network shows might get pay rate hikes each season, the Slaton sisters might not if TLC is covering costly medical bills. But, generally, there’s an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) requiring the talent not to talk about how much they make…

Tammy says she and Amy Slaton grew up poor, which lead to them having a poor diet. This lead to them being so big that together they weigh 1,000 pounds.

Since then, Amy got the weight loss surgery and made it clear that if it weren’t for the network, she wouldn’t be able to afford it at all. And now she is healthy and happy with her dreams coming true.

Tammy Reveals Money Haul

Tammy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters does seem to make a decent amount of money filming personalized videos for fans. Tammy’s former-business partner says that on her first day posting custom vids, she made $800.

Lower-tier reality stars charge $20-30 per video while bigger stars (like soap actors) can charge $100-$200 per shout-out. So, if Tammy were making that much daily, then she shouldn’t have any money worries.

At one time, Tammy says she was getting 200 requests a day and that it is hard to keep up. So, it sure sounds like she could be making money hand over fist if she wanted to. So, is this payday for real?
