‘1000-lb Best Friends’: Is Vannessa Cross Crushing Her Weight Loss?
1000-lb Best Friends star Vannessa Cross is trying to lose weight alongside her besties. The two want to make their journey to health as a team.
But can Vannessa keep up when it comes to weight loss?
1000-lb Best Friends: Vannessa Cross Doesn’t Want To
1000-lb Best Friends has Vannessa Cross, who was introduced to fans as the best friend of Meghan Crumpler. They both were featured in an episode of Too Large. Meghan took the opportunity to lose weight and wanted to invite Vannessa to join her.
She tells her that she is tired of peeing herself in the mornings and always being attached to oxygen. But bestie Vannessa doesn’t want to change her lifestyle and says peeing herself is just a part of life. She tells Meghan, “I pee myself 15 times a day.”

But like her bestie Meghan suspects, she puts up a front. Vannessa dives a bit more in-depth on why she doesn’t want the surgery or to lose weight. She says that getting surgery is risky, and she doesn’t want to take that risk. But Meghan from 1000-lb Best Friends assures her that she could die any day with how big they are.
Vannessa opens a bit more to the fans and says that she is not ready to give up the food. She doesn’t want to stop eating the way that she is.
TLC Star Comes from Unfortunate Circumstances
1000-lb Best Friends’ Vannessa Cross does see how good her best friend Meghan Crumpler is doing with her weight loss. She thinks it could be possible for herself as well. She then joins Meghan on her journey and goes to see weight loss specialist Dr. Charles Procter Jr. as well.
The doctor tells her he wants her under 400 pounds before he can do surgery on her. The nutritionist tells her to eat five small meals a day, but she says that is too much. She explains she’ll stick to her two meals. But other factors make it hard to eat healthily.
She says that she doesn’t make enough money to buy healthy foods, and she gets her food from the food pantry. Most food that people donate isn’t healthy, and she says she can’t stick to the diet.
Every time she sees Dr. Procter, she tells him she is trying but just can’t do it. She says no one understands how hard it is to be in her shoes. However, the 1000-lb Best Friends co-star does kick it into overdrive when she sees Meghan’s transformation.
1000-lb Best Friends: You Can Do It Vannessa Cross
Vannessa Cross from 1000-lb Best Friends is finally able to see how putting hard work towards weight loss is beneficial. Meghan Crumpler shows off that her hard work earned her a 160-pound difference on the scale. Vannessa says that her best friend motives her to continue forward. She herself leaves fans with the knowledge that she dropped 20 pounds and is halfway to her goal for weight loss surgery.
Soap Dirt shares her story from Too Large to help prepare fans for her appearance on her new show. This will feature Vannessa, Meghan, and two new besties, Ashley Sutton and Tina Arnold.
Catch the pair and their other friends continue to lose weight together on 1000-lb Best Friends airing on TLC on February 7th.
