1000-lb Best Friends introduced Tina Arnold and her pal Ashely Sutton. They are starring alongside fan favorites Meghan Crumpler and Vannessa Cross.
When Too Large aired, that’s where Vannessa started with Meghan on TLC. They started on their weight loss journey to get healthy and back into everyday life.
Meghan had weight loss surgery and lost over 100 pounds. And Vannessa Cross was still working towards losing enough weight to qualify.
This new show will revolve around four besties trying to make the best out of life. Three of them will be working towards getting weight loss surgery. But one will be dealing with post-surgery life.
Fans are excited to watch because of the assumption the show will be similar to 1000-lb Sisters. This series has the same premise but instead features Amy Slaton and Tammy Slaton.
Reality Stars Have Seen It All Before
1000-lb Best Friends Ashely Sutton and Tina Arnold are a mystery to fans. Ashely holds a truth that she is willing to share. She says that she once had weight loss bypass surgery.
One study presented by the National Institutes of Health found up to a 65% success rate. Ashely fell in with the other 35% who stretched back out their stomachs. She says she weighs more now than when she first tried to get the surgery.

She is giving it another try and hopes that the second time will stick. This time around, she has her 1000-lb Best Friends right by her side fighting for the same thing.
Now she is single and 36 years old on this new journey. She says she is ready to ‘mingle,’ so hopefully, fans will get to see her meet the love of her life.
1000-lb Best Friends: That’s Ashely, but What about Tina?
Tina Arnold from 1000-lb Best Friends is new to fans alongside Ashely Sutton. Her besties speak up and say that Tina is the “mom” friend of the group.
This is common in friend groups. There is often one friend that takes care of and the responsibility for the rest of her friends. She is 40 years old, and a bit closed off compared to her friends. Meghan Crumpler says that she would love to see her go home with a man.
Ashely says that Tina is a “nun” though. Making the joke that she has never been with anyone. She admits she has been with at least one man in her life. But it doesn’t seem like she is getting any action now.
