Amanda Sinclair Leaving Young and the Restless – Comings & Goings Update
With Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) boyfriend cheating on her, it makes sense she’d leave Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). That’s the storyline Y&R writers devised to facilitate the actress’ exit. Morgan decided to step back to recurring to pursue other projects.
WIth Amanda now leaving Young and the Restless it was inevitable. Yet it was hard for fans to watch Devon betray Amanda, effectively driving her out of town. Amanda walked in on him naked with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) — and it was a deal breaker.
On Y&R, Amanda Sinclair said she’d head to Virginia to spend time with her ailing mother. This means Amanda’s rarely seen. And less of Imani Benedict (Leigh-Anne Rose) is also expected since she’s closely tied to Amanda Sinclair.
Daniel Romalotti Back- Danny Romalotti Follows Soon – Y&R Casting News
A huge Young and the Restless return came at week’s end as Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) son Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) turned up. And Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), his ex-wife and first love, was the first to greet him.
Is that a sign for Y&R fans that Lily’s destined to reunite with Daniel? After all, things aren’t so great with her and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). They’ve been rocky for a while. He’s running all over the place. She’s sick of his devoting time to other women.
By Christmas week, Daniel’s father, Danny Romalloti (Michael Damian), is also back to The Young and the Restless. With Red single right now, is there a chance she can win back the man she was obsessed with decades ago (and drugged and raped)? Likely not. We’ll see.
Noah & Allie Cut Back to Recurring – Who Else is Leaving The Young and the Restless?
CBS/Paramount had two bad quarters in a row for declining income. And it’s public news that Y&R‘s parent company will make significant budget cuts. And an insider at CBS daytime leaked that cast cuts are coming.
Already, it’s confirmed that Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) and Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) were pushed to recurring on Young and the Restless. And Gibson’s already on another project, confirming he had to cut off his fluffy soap locks for a new role.
He’s completed two recent projects and is starting a third soon. So far, Wang hasn’t shared that she’s been cast on anything new. Other names dropped in the leak as “may leave” include Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
Given that Young and the Restless spoilers have ruined Chance’s marriage, that’s a sign they may change the character’s status. But Diane’s right in the middle of many top plots. So, it seems a long shot. Wait to see what happens next.
