‘Young and the Restless’: Did Victoria Rig Paternity Test to Wreck Adam?
Young and the Restless spoilers tease Victoria Newman‘s targeting Adam Newman — and she might have rigged a medical test to take him down on the CBS soap opera.
She’s increasingly threatened by his looming presence and wants to tarnish him in the eyes of their father. But would she go to extremes on Y&R?
Who is Sally’s Baby Daddy on Young and the Restless? It’s Adam Newman
Y&R spoilers for this week confirm that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is stunned to learn that he fathered the child that Sally Spectra is (Courtney Hope) carrying. Before she got the real results, Y&R writers put fans through the wringer.
First, they showed a scenario where Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) favorite brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), was not a match. That means Adam is the dad on The Young and the Restless.
Next, they unwound it and then replayed a scene where Adam Newman was not her baby daddy. This was just the redhead envisioning what could happen with either of the two possible paternity outcomes.
But on the mid-week episode of Y&R, she opens the file and looks at the actual results. And it says Nick can’t be the dad. So, that means, by default, the father is Adam.
At least for the time being on Young and the Restless… Every DNA test on any soap opera is suspect by default. Because rigging results is a standard storyline. And we suspect it might be in this case too.
Did Victoria Newman Tamper with the Paternity Test on Y&R?
The number of people that knew about the test before the results arrived is few. Of course, Sally and Nick knew about the test. And her BFF Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) knew. And while Chloe’s capable of tweaking the test, this isn’t her work.
Chloe does NOT want Adam Newman to be the father of her bestie’s child. So, if she tinkered with the test, then Nick would be the one named daddy. So, that means, if the test results were rigged, it was someone else that wanted Adam as the dad on Young and Restless.
Victoria Newman has the power and wealth to bribe someone to change the test outcome. And you know that she doesn’t want Nick involved with Sally. Victoria kept pushing her brother to dumb the designer, but he won’t stop. Plus, she sees Adam as a threat.
Adam Newman wants her CEO chair on Young and the Restless. He made it clear to their father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), that he wants Victoria’s job if his dad wants him back at the family corporation. And recently, Victoria cornered her dad about Adam.
Recall on Y&R that she flat-out told her father that he needs to cut her little brother out of his life and give up on luring him back to the family (and the family business). The Mustache refused and it’s clear that Victoria Newman feels constantly threatened by this.
Is Victoria Targeting Adam with Dirty DNA Results on Young and Restless?
Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Victoria Newman is the one person in Genoa City with a motive to tamper with the DNA test to ensure Adam thinks the baby is his. But why would she do it? It’s simple. Victor hates Sally Spectra.
And if the black sheep got her pregnant, he would go all out to stick by Sally. And that would infuriate his father who doesn’t want the woman near either of his sons. So, Victoria’s plan may be to tarnish Adam with this unplanned pregnancy outcome to upset Victor.
Plus, Victoria would anticipate a war between her brothers over this pregnancy. That makes them both look distracted and obsessed and would make Vikki look better compared to them. So, Victoria’s got many motives to tinker with that paternity test.
She likely sees Sally as an anchor that would sink Adam in their father’s eyes on Young and the Restless. But for now, with no conflicting info or test rigging confirmed, at least for now, the youngest Newman brother is Sally’s baby daddy.
