Young and the Restless News: Michael Baldwin Jumps into His New Assignment
Michael Baldwin officially resigns his position as District Attorney for Genoa City. He is excited to begin working for Victor. Michael’s first task involves delving into Ashland’s health condition. The Mustache is suspicious of his son-in-law’s miraculous recovery from advanced lung cancer.
When Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) agreed to marry Ash, they thought his days were numbered. He was showing signs of his illness. So, the pair moved forward with their courtship. Now Victor got worried that it was all a scam planned by her new hubby on Young and the Restless.
Ashland’s in a position to double-cross the Newman family. So, he has the power to take over Newman/Locke slowly. Y&R news shows he attempted to bring one of his own men into a power position within the company.
But his plan got foiled by Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott.) However, it did raise a red flag. What was her son-in-law trying to do with this power move? He acted nonchalant when Victoria shut him down. But it did hint at what Ash’s end game may be on Young and the Restless..
Michael Pushes Nate Hastings for the Truth on Y&R
At his wedding, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was Ashland Locke’s best man. So, they have grown close. As Chief of Surgery, Nate is a wealth of information. So, he advises the businessman when he makes health decisions. Nate supported his friend when he decided to go to Peru for an experimental treatment.

So, Michael Baldwin grills Nate about the other guy’s cancer. Michael hopes to learn something he can use in his quest to find the truth about Victoria’s husband. So, Nate meets with the lawyer but is not very helpful. He believes his friend is genuinely ill. Nate tells Michael the new treatment could save Ashland’s life, on Young and the Restless.
Young and the Restless Updates: Victor Newman Plans His Next Move
With Michael on the case, Victor won’t give up on his plan. He does not trust his son-in-law and is unhappy with the merger. In a recent interview, Richard Burgi hints Victor and his character have a showdown soon. Both men have a reputation for ruthlessnessness.
While Michael Baldwin may not learn much from Nate, he continues to investigate Ash. So, things heat up in Genoa City as Victor wants dirt. Perhaps the Locke Ness Monster will reaffirm his reputation as a cutthroat businessman. Victoria could land right in the middle of the battle between her father and husband. A fight is brewing that may destroy Victoria’s marriage.
