‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Chelsea Goes Psycho – Breaks Out to Punish Adam?
Young and the Restless spoilers show Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) sends Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) to the brink. Now that Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) agreed to work for Adam, it is too much to bear for his ex-fiancee. She may finally lose it and could give in to her dark side. Young and the Restless Scoops: Chelsea Newman Thinks Adam Newman’s Taken Everything
Chelsea Newman’s stewed in a psychiatric hospital for weeks. She blames Adam Newman for all of her troubles on Y&R. Adam contributed toward her current situation. If he hadn’t brought Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) in as her therapist, she might not have developed her delusional ideas.
The photo of Adam kissing Sharon caught on camera made things even worse on Young and the Restless. Now, Chelsea thinks she’s faking a mental breakdown as part of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) plan to keep her out of prison. But, it also seems she’s close to a real psychotic break. Con woman Chelsea lost everything and blames Adam. She wants him to pay for his actions.

Chelsea Newman was thrilled when she learned that their son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), would be home soon. However, when Adam dropped the bomb that she would not be allowed to see him while at the hospital, she flipped. She’s convinced Adam will turn her boy against her. Her biggest fear is losing her son forever on Young and the Restless.
To make things worse, Chloe took a job offer from Adam Newman. So, it’s all too much for Chelsea. She thinks he’s taken her freedom, her son, and her BFF. Young and the Restless updates indicate she will no longer be faking her condition. Chelsea Newman could actually break down, then break out, and go after Adam Newman on Y&R on CBS.
Chelsea Escapes From Hospital on Y&R?
Recent Young and the Restless spoilers indicate Chelsea Newman wants out of the hospital immediately. When Chloe last visited, and told her about the new job, Chelsea was adamant. She told her bestie that she needed to get out of Fairview “now”. But, the only way out is for Chelsea to convince the doctors that she is sane – or escape from the facility.
However, that could be very difficult considering this latest development with Chloe. With no help from her pal, Chelsea may try to escape from the hospital on Young and the Restless. Then, she can go after Adam Newman for revenge. Of course, Chelsea Newman is a very skilled schemer, so it shouldn’t be too hard for the former fashion designer to make a hasty exit from the mental facility.
Or Chelsea Newman could work her magic as an experienced grifter. Right now, Victor’s paying the doctor at the hospital on Young and the Restless. So she might be able to bribe that guy – or an orderly to let her go. Or she could steal a key. No matter how she does it, leaving the institution would be her first step in her plot to hurt Adam.
Of course, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) is keeping a close eye on her since he suspects she had help. But, if he and Sharon jet off to Miami, the time might be right for Chelsea to break free while he’s not around watching her on the soap.
Young and the Restless News: Adam In Danger Soon?
Fans know how vindictive Chelsea Newman can be. She was willing to send her baby daddy to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. However, now she believes she has nothing left to lose. In a recent interview, Missy Egan said there was still lots of story left to tell before she exits on maternity leave.
So, there has to be more than scenes of Chelsea receiving the occasional visitor at the psych ward. Young and the Restless spoilers hint Chelsea’s plot to hold Adam accountable is the action she referred to. But what will she do? Will Chelsea try to physically harm Adam? All signs point to yes.
But will she also target Sharon when she’s in a rage? And could she try and snatch Connor when she breaks out? Keep watching the CBS sudser as Chelsea Newman’s need for vindication turns ugly, and Adam Newman could pay the price.
