But taking a gig as CEO of the other biggest corporation in Genoa City could be an epic clap back on everyone on the CBS soap.
Adam Newman Considers Jabot CEO Role – Young and the Restless Spoilers
This week, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) offered Adam Newman a huge opportunity. He offered him the reins of Jabot and let him take over the CEO role. Recall that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) just stepped away from the boss chair.
He’s running Marchetti with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier). It’s part of Jabot, but the parent company needs someone in the CEO seat. And Jack doesn’t want to do it himself anymore. And he’s got a long-standing fondness for the troubled young man on Y&R.
In fact, he’s been more of a father to Adam than Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has at times on The Young and the Restless. And more of a dad to The Mustache’s black sheep kid than his own son — Keemo.
Now, it’s another chance for Jack to pull Adam close while he’s on the outs with his dad. The Abbott patriarch also senses that if the troubled guy doesn’t ground himself soon, he’ll spiral out of control. Jack will do whatever he can to prevent that from happening.
Billy Abbott & Victor Newman Chapped – Y&R Spoilers
Already, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) blew up when he heard his brother offered Adam Newman the top job at their family corporation. That came right after Billy-Boy smugly told his enemy that he’s got two jobs while Adam has none.
And when Billy pushed back and called him toxic, Jack defended and chastised his little brother for his scathing expose on Adam. What’s clear is that the elder Abbott will do what he wants — and he wants his pseudo-son in that role.
Young and the Restless spoilers suggest if Adam does accept the role, his dad and Jack’s brother will both lose their cool over it. Already, Billy’s annoyed. And that was just at the offer. You can bet that he’ll run tell his ex-wife about the offer on Y&R.
Once Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) hears that, she’ll run right to her daddy with the scoop. Victor wants his son in the family fold, but no one else seems to — even Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) just advised her husband to cut his youngest son loose.
Adam in a Position to Hit Back on Young and the Restless
Right now, Adam’s in a tailspin. He broke up with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). He seems tormented about it but then she stopped begging to reconcile and just cut him out of her life. And she’s getting closer to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) now.
And Adam just peeped at Nick spending time after-hours with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) on Young and the Restless. They were behind the locked doors of Crimson Lights, and their talk looked intense. It clearly bothered Nick’s little brother.
Plus, his dad shoved him out of the CEO spot at the family business with no warning or fanfare and gave it back to Vikki. Her brother’s cut off from family, love, and acceptance. She doesn’t care, nor does her mother, and Nick and Vic aren’t much help.
So, he’s spinning out. This CEO offer at Jabot could be the lifeline Adam Newman needs right now. Will he grab hold of it on the CBS soap? Or will he walk away from this amazing opportunity and keep circling the drain?
