Is Adam Newman Leaving The Young and the Restless?
Y&R questions are swirling about whether Adam Newman could leave the CBS soap. Just a couple of weeks ago, he was on top of the world and CEO at Newman Enterprises. Now, he’s out of the boss chair, and his big sister slid right back into it.
Then, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) asked Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to rejoin the company. So, those two plus their parents, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden), toast the future on The Young and the Restless.
But notably absent is youngest son Adam Newman, who was ousted without ceremony or warning from his CEO seat. It’s so rough on him that even Nikki and Nick commiserate and agree he was done wrong.
Plus, the hunk refuses to push Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) out of the top job at Newman Media. He won’t do to her what was done to him. That’s pretty classy. But it also leaves little room for him. Will Adam leave Young and the Restless?
Mark Grossman’s Y&R Contract Status Rumors
For a few months, there were rumors leaking from CBS daytime that Mark Grossman was considering whether or not to ink a new deal with the CBS soap. He initially signed a three-year deal that expired in mid-May 2022.
An insider who works in that division at first said that he wouldn’t stay with the CBS soap. Then the same source did a 180 and said he’d decided to stick around. Of course, neither the network nor Grossman confirmed a new deal.
But Grossman only has Y&R on his current IMDB activity. And he’s still airing past what would be the end of his three-year deal. So, it doesn’t look like Adam’s leaving Young and the Restless. But things are definitely changing for the character.
Now, he’s lost his footing, and events conspire to push his dark side to come out again. So, while The Mustache’s namesake might not be leaving, we’d expect a drastic shift as his family pushes him aside and Adam scrambles for vengeance.
Adam Leaving Young and the Restless – Runs from Family Rejection?
Adam Newman talked revenge to Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). But with Ash now dead, that’s all over. It seems like Adam’s tucking his tail and planning to run to Vegas.
Young and the Restless spoilers suggest Adam has had enough from his family and just wants to bail and cut all ties. He claims he was just fine when he was living as pro-gambler Spider in Las Vegas.
So, he might go back to that life. Although Victor’s youngest son is furious and wants payback, he seems resigned that nothing will change. Maybe leaving town is healthier than lashing out at the Newmans….
So, given how upset he is, his family might hope Adam’s leaving Y&R and Genoa City before all’s said and done. There are signs that Adam Newman is leaving, but he’s not gotten on the plane yet.
