She also makes a shocking business decision that could rock her son, Billy Abbott‘s (Jason Thompson) world on the CBS soap opera.

Jill Abbott returns to GC soon after an absence of many months. It could be that she returns to see her grandson, presumed-dead Chance Chancellor, come home. Or for a funeral for Chance if they push the “dead” storyline that far. The dynamic businesswoman has been missed on Young and the Restless. Jess has portrayed Jill for over 30 years.

Jill Abbott may jump right into the Chance storyline as she helps the family mourn his death or celebrate discovering he is still alive. In a leaked photo from behind the scenes, Jill appears with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James.) So she is back on set filming new scenes.
Young and the Restless information hint the timing of her return should be the end of November or early December. Now, Y&R is still pushing the Chance dead storyline even though fans know it’s just not true. So, whether it’s a memorial or homecoming, we’d expect Jill there for a Chance plot. But, that’s not all.

Jess Walton recently suffered a devastating loss. Her husband of 40 years passed away in August of 2021. Jess and John James share two children. They lived in Oregon, where Jess still resides. John’s liver cancer returned in May of 2021. Jess and her children cared for him at home before his passing.

On November 7, Jess reported another loss. She indicated her beloved horse Ace went over the rainbow bridge. The couple owns a ranch and has many animals. Young and the Restless news indicates Jess Walton is conducting a fundraiser for HeartSpace Horse Sanctuary as a tribute to Ace.
