Is Conner Floyd the New Chance Chancellor on ‘Young and the Restless’? [UPDATE]

Young and the Restless News: Chance Chancellor Recast a Done Deal?
News of Chance Chancellor’s death is starting to spread throughout Genoa City. However, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is optimistic that her husband is still alive. Young and the Restless spoilers hint she may be correct. Soap Dirt suggests the biggest clue is that his body is still missing.
Many viewers would like to see Donny Boaz return to the sudser. However, that seems unlikely. Donny has been critical of the storyline since his departure. So it seems a new actor will fill the role on Young and the Restless. Several different actors portrayed the character, so a recast would not be unusual.
When Chance Chancellor (Phillip Chancellor IV) first appeared on screen as an adult, John Driscoll filled the part. He was on Young and the Restless from 2009 to 2011. Next, Donny Boaz debuted as Chance from 2019 to 2021. However, when he tested positive for COVID, Melissa Ordway’s husband, Justin Gaston, stepped in briefly in 2020.
Chance still has a story to tell. He was a newlywed when he left town. His marriage to Abby is brand new. They also now have a baby. However, due to the complicated situation with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), Abby’s husband would stabilize the family.
Is Conner Floyd Coming to Y&R?
Behind the scenes chatter suggests Conner Floyd was hired as the missing and presumed dead agent. However, the actor has a busy schedule currently. Conner is in the middle of filming several movies. He also has several in post-production that could require a reshoot. So, this information hints he may not appear as Chance on Young and the Restless.
Based on his acting choices, it seems he prefers motion pictures to television. So, it is another clue he might not be the new Chance Chancellor. However, the chatter’s persistent. And someone was hired to fill the role as a recast, given info from a leaked image. But there has been no official word from Young and the Restless.
Young and the Restless Updates: Chance Not Dead – When Will He Return?
This big hint of a Chance recast on Young and the Restless comes from a photo Victoria Newman portrayer Amelia Heinle posted then deleted on social media. It showed a large sign in the background. His name appeared in bold letters, followed by an exclamation point.
It was taken on set in what looked like a welcome home party at The Grand Phoenix. The post appeared at the end of October. It could mean a return for Chance in late November or early December. Sweeps could end with a return of the presumed-dead undercover agent.

Or Abby could have her husband back on Young and the Restless in time for the holidays. With the buzz growing louder, it seems viewers have not seen the last of Chance Chancellor. We’ll deliver a Young and the Restless update as soon as the CBS soap — or the actor — confirms the replacement.
