‘Young and the Restless’ Comings and Goings: Stitch Back – But Will He Stay for Abby?
Young and the Restless comings and goings confirm Ben Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) is back in Genoa City, but how long will Stitch stick around? He stunned Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) popping up to see her. And he’ll drop in again on her soon with a gift. But is Stitch sticking around and will this be a complication for her marriage on the CBS soap?
Young and the Restless Comings and Goings: Ben Rayburn Returns – Sick Son in Hospital
Soon on Y&R, Stitch Rayburn can’t help himself and has to go see Abby Newman again. So, he stops by the Chancellor estate with a present for her unborn child. He also tells her that his son, Max Rayburn, isn’t doing well. You may recall Max tripped her and triggered a miscarriage.
And it’s that miscarriage, as seen on Young and the Restless, that’s the reason Abby needs a surrogate now. So, seeing Stitch might be a painful reminder of all that. But, she and Ben Rayburn truly loved one another. It seems Ben might still be carrying a torch for his ex-wife.

Plus, you may recall that Abby’s love life took a turn for the worse after things fell apart with Stitch. She got involved with cheating Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) for one. And that was a painful moment resulting in Abby wrecking his truck with a bat on Young and the Restless.
Y&R Ins and Outs: How Long will Stitch Stay in Genoa City?
Now, Abby’s husband Chance Chancellor gone and the actor, Donny Boaz, is officially done at Young and the Restless. So, it begs the question of whether they’re going to write Chance out. And bring back Abby’s ex-husband Stitch Rayburn for her. It could happen.
For now, Sean Carrigan confirmed that he’ll appear in several episode of Y&R. And he’s open to a longer run on Young and the Restless. So, it sounds like there’s the possibility they could shake up Abby Newman’s love life. There’s a lot of rumors circling about her storyline.
There’s been chatter that they might bring back Ordway’s husband as a permanent recast for Chance. Then there was talk of a casting call that sounded like they were looking for a new Chance. And now they mudded the waters bringing back Ben to Young and the Restless.
Why Did Young and the Restless Bring Back Ben Out of the Blue?
It really does feel sort of random to bring back Ben Rayburn in the middle of Abby’s surrogacy storyline, doesn’t it? Her husband is off on a secret mission. And then bam – there’s her ex-hubby Stitch popping up out of nowhere. And apparently for a handful of episodes only.
It feels sort of slapdash on the part of Young and the Restless at this point. But perhaps there’s some master plot at work that requires Ben Rayburn. For now, it seems Stitch is still smitten with his ex and worried about his son. Plus, Abby Newman’s got a baby on the way.

And that’s the bio-kid off Abby Newman and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) on Young and the Restless. So, it’s such a messy convoluted story already. And now they’ve got Stitch Rayburn in the midst of it. All that being said – it’s great to see Sean Carrigan back on Y&R.
He’s a talented hunk who, aside from sleeping with her mom, genuinely seemed to love Abby. So, tune into the CBS soap to see Ben Rayburn’s few episodes – and then we’ll let you know if Stitch will be back.
