Young and the Restless Comings and Goings: Cameron Dead & Gone – Faith Packed Off Again
Here’s your latest edition of The Young and the Restless comings and goings with villainous Cameron Kirsten out, Faith Newman packing her bags, and a huge legacy return. Plus, there’s a retro appearance and other hot stuff over the next week on the CBS soap.
Young and the Restless Comings & Goings: Cameron Kirsten Dead – Linden Ashby Out!
Say goodbye to Lindon Ashby on Y&R. Comings and goings confirm he’s done as Cameron Kirsten. He’s dead and gone as of June 16th, 2023. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) stabbed him and ended his very brief and very violent reign of terror.
Remember he killed the cat and then he kidnapped Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) and he’s put her in a bomb vest. Of note is that in a recent interview with Sharon Case, they talked about whether it would be funny and soapy to have Cameron have a twin.
That way, Linden Ashby could come back tied to Cameron. Because, of course, his wife, Susan Walters is on Young and the Restless. She plays Diane Jenkins. Recall, the little 5-10 second interaction they wrote for them at the GCAC bar which was fun.
But unless Cameron Kristen has a good twin or an eviler twin, we’ve likely seen the last of Linden Ashby. But at least it was intense and exciting while we had Cameron on Y&R.
CBS Soap News: Faith Newman Exits Too on Y&R?
We’re waiting on official Young and Restless casting spoilers, but Faith Newman likely won’t stick around too much longer. Reylynn Caster was shipped off to college. Basically, she came back for this reign of terror plot.
And Faith’s gonna be saved from the bomb belt on Monday. And then we’ve got scenes of Faith next week being comforted by her mom over the Cameron Kirsten ordeal.
But it’s a safe guess, they’re probably going to put Faith Newman back to college soon. The actress is only on recurring. We’d expect they’ll get her outta the way now that this plot is over and done on the CBS soap opera.
John Abbott & Traci Abbott Return to Young and Restless
In other big Young and the Restless comings and goings, the incredible Beth Maitland is back. She’s back by June 22nd, but perhaps earlier as Traci Abbott.
And Traci calls a family meeting because she is tired of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) sniping at each other and trying to tear the family apart.
She and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) are trying to be mediators and peacemakers. So, we will see how it goes on Y&R, but she’s definitely trying to get the Abbott house in order.
Related to that, Tracy’s book editor Zelda Winston, is in town on Thursday, played by Kym Douglas, the widow of Jerry Douglas. You’ll remember, he played family patriarch John Abbott on Young and Restless.
And there is an entire episode devoted to the legendary Jerry Douglas as John Abbott on Thursday. We’re gonna get lots of flashbacks. It’s gonna be a retrospective, but there will be some new content.
But because they have branded it a standalone episode, which means it shouldn’t be any content that moves any of the other main storylines forward.
Phyllis Summers Back to Y&R to Face the Music and Other MIA Characters on CBS Soap
We are also well overdue for some Phyllis Summers scenes on Young and the Restless. She has got to pay the piper, but her storyline slid off the front burner for the Cameron Kirsten, Faith Newman, kidnapping, and terror crisis.
We last saw Phyllis on June 12th. The police search for her and it’s been a minute since we got scenes of her. However, the only official Y&R spoilers of her are for the week of June 26th. So, we’re not expecting really to see her this week on CBS daytime.
We’re expecting to see her the following week, and it looks like she has got scenes with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Because the spoiler is that he is losing patience with her.
We also have heard that Lucy Romalotti, Daniel Romalotti’s daughter is back this Summer. And we’re waiting on any word of the return of Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), Allie Newman (Kelsey Wang), and Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines).
