‘Young and the Restless’: Chelsea & Rey – Improbable Pair Destined for Romance?

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Chelsea Newman Can’t Crack Adam Newman
Y&R spoilers promise Chelsea Newman won’t give up on a reunion with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). But there are a few obstacles in her way. The first is Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). The redheaded designer crushes on Adam daily. And despite Chelsea trying to mark her territory, Sally’s unfazed.
Sally’s crushing hard on Adam — and they had a crackling connection. So, Young and the Restless spoilers for 2022 point to Chelsea getting rejected by her baby daddy. No matter how bad Chelsea wants it to happen. Of course, she might try. But also, Chelsea Newman has an interesting run-in with Rey Rosales this week.
I want Chelsea to move on and befriend Sally. Sally to focus on work, stop begging for friends and to stay away from Adam. When Adam wants Chelsea back I hope she slaps him into next week. #YR

Despite the elephant in the room of Chelsea’s prior crime against Rey, it’s not so awkward. In fact, Rey seems to be protective of her on Young and the Restless. And he definitely doesn’t think Adam’s a good influence on Chelsea. So, if things don’t work out for her and her former husband, it’ll thrill the GCPD detective.
Rey Rosales Could Lose Sharon to a Newman Brother on Y&R
Right now, Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) making an effort with Rey Rosales. But they’re always on the edge of an argument on Young and the Restless. She was angry when Rey leaped at the chance to work with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). He took the bait to target Adam and that annoyed Sharon.
Now, Rey’s also chafing over Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) ongoing presence. Now that her other ex is single, he’s always around. And he and Sharon look happy when spending time with their kids. It seems like Rey Rosales gets annoyed with his wife in a blink on Young and the Restless. That means he’s not confident in what they have.
So, with Nick around and Adam never far, will Rey’s jealousy wreck them on Young and the Restless? He can’t say much about her children’s father coming around. While he can complain about Nick’s brother, there’s not much he can do to keep either away. And his anger might push Sharon into the arms of one of the brothers.
Could Rey Find Romance with his Attempted Murdered on Young and the Restless?
We may see some couple shifts in the New Year, given hints from the Y&R writers’ room. Now, there aren’t too many romantic prospects available for either Chelsea or Rey. If she can’t get with one of her exes, then what’s Chelsea Newman to do? It would be a stunner if she got with the cop, right?
Although Chelsea Newman poisoned him, it doesn’t seem like Rey holds a grudge on Young and the Restless. He seems to blame her former husband for Chelsea’s actions. So, that means Rey Rosales, if single, might consider a romance with her. They had a certain spark when chatting recently. Could that be foreshadowing more to come for these two?
For now, the new year will see Rey still with Sharon. And Chelsea’s still looking at Adam. But all that could change as we leap into 2022.
