Will Judi Evans be Back on ‘Days of our Lives’?

Days of our Lives spoilers wonder if Judi Evans will be back on the NBC soap either as Adrienne Kiriakis or her lookalike Bonnie Lockhart. Right now, the actress remains in the hospital with a medical drama that’s worthy of a soap plot. We’ve got the latest on Judi’s diagnosis, recovery, and if we’ll see her again on DOOL.

Days of our Lives Actress Judi Evans – A Rough Year

While on quarantine from coronavirus, many people are trying to get out and exercise. The same goes for Judi Evans, who’s an avid horseback rider. All this started for the Adrienne Kiriakis actress in mid-May. She was out for a ride when her horse got spoke, and Judi took a bad spill.

This accident seriously hurt the Days of our Lives alumni. She broke her collarbone, several ribs, and had a collapsed lung. So, other riders called 911 and EMTs rushed unconscious Judi Evans to the local hospital. That came just a few months after another tragedy in her life.

In December 2019, Judi’s son Austin Luciano lost his life at 23 suddenly. The family never revealed his cause of death. Then, in January 2020, we saw Judi Evans final scenes as Adrienne Kiriakis when her character died, run off the road by villainous Orpheus (George DelHoyo).

Coronavirus Diagnosis – Will Adrienne Kiriakis be Back on DOOL?

It’s been a horrible year for Days of our Lives‘ Judi, and she’s still struggling. While in the hospital for her riding injuries, she contracted coronavirus. Then, the ex-Adrienne actress developed a complication of COVID-19 that’s not gotten a lot of press – blood clots.

Reportedly, Judi Evans developed blood clots in both her legs. So, the Days of our Lives long-time actress faced possible amputation of both her legs. The actress confirmed to Good Morning America that she’d contracted COVID and discussed nearly losing her legs.

Now, Judi remains in the hospital, recovering from her riding injuries and coronavirus. This week, Judi Evans thanks Days of our Lives fans for all their messages of support. She’s been in the hospital for almost 30 days now, and her rep said she looks forward to going home soon. But will she return to DOOL when it comes back?

What’s Next for Judi on Days of our Lives?

The other news breaking this week is that soaps are gearing up to film new episodes. Two aim to come back later this month, but NBC daytime hasn’t confirmed when they’ll return. DOOL is unique among the four soaps since it shoots so far ahead, it’s still airing new episodes.

That means Days of our Lives could delay filming and no rush back like the others. But when the NBC sudser gets back to work, will Judi Evans be one of the returns? So far on DOOL, Adrienne Kiriakis seems truly dead – even though the word “dead” in Salem is pretty flexible.

However, in late January, Wally Kurth hinted that Judi would return. So, perhaps Days of our Lives has more flashback scenes. There’s long-running chatter that Adrienne’s death saved a life so we may see flashbacks of her final scenes and someone getting her organs.

There’s also wacky Bonnie Lockhart that might come back to stir the pot. For now, let’s wish Days of our Lives talented Judi Evans a speedy recovery from the virus and her broken bones. And we’ll keep you updated when we hear any info on her comeback as Adrienne or Bonnie.
