Who Died on ‘General Hospital’?

Who died on General Hospital in 2022? With a serial killer on the loose in Port Charles, we might have people dropping like flies. So far, though the body count this year for characters is less than 10. Then again, the Hook Killer’s not done yet, so we’ll probably have to update this list for deaths on the ABC soap.

Who Died on General Hospital – Luke Spencer First to Go

GH icon Luke Spencer died offscreen and fans were denied a last glimpse of Anthony Geary. He supposedly died in a cable car accident in Europe. Luke’s death was reported on January 3, 2022.

Of course, Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) was also reported dead yet she’s back on General Hospital next week. It’s not clear if Luke Spencer is really dead or if he’s just “soap dead” and might return to GH one day.

Peter August Dead from Assault & Neglect – GH Death of Villain

Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was presumed dead after Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) shoved him down the stairs. Then, he and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) shoved him in a freezer. But of course, Peter lived.

It took a fight with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) to do him in at last. He suffered internal injuries and his aunt, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) decided not to call 911 to save Peter’s life.

But she stayed at his side as he died on General Hospital on February 23, 2022. It was a lowkey death for such a rotten villain. Peter August seems to be well and truly dead at last. And there’s no doubt at Wes Ramsey leaving.

Both Byrne Brother Meet their Maker on General Hospital

You may recall that Dr. Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) supposedly OD’d in the bed of Alexis Davis (Nancy Grahn) back in September 2020. But we found out this year that Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) killed him.

She crept into the house and dosed him. His brother, Brendan Byrne (Josh Coxx), wouldn’t let it go. He was sure foul play was involved. He blackmailed Harmony but that didn’t work out well for him. She tried to kill him twice.

Then, on April 15, 2022, she succeeded. They argued on General Hospital and he tumbled off a cliff and died. No doubt, Brendan wanted vengeance for his brother but karma came for his killer on GH soon.

Harmony Miller Died After Taking Lives on GH

Not only did the ex-Dawn of Day cult member kill Dr. Byrne but also his brother. She was trying to keep the past buried, but it wasn’t working out so well for her.

Harmony Miller died on GH from internal injuries on May 4, 2022. You may recall that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) ran her down while fleeing from a skeezy paparazzo.

That led to a deathbed confession on General Hospital where Harmony told Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) that Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford) is Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) biological mother and swore her to secrecy.

Ava Survived but Brando Corbin Died on General Hospital 2022

The first victim of the Hook Killer was Ava Jerome (Maura West) but she survived. And the serial killer seemed to take aim next at Joslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) but then turned on Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) instead.

Then, he survived surgery for the effects of the hook attack. And Brando was getting better. Then he took a sudden and drastic turn for the worse, suffering seizures. He went from chatting with family to dying in moments.

Brando’s death revealed to the cops and doctors that the Hook was now adding a toxin to the weapon to ensure the wounds were fatal. It was a twist they didn’t expect on General Hospital.

Diane Lived but Oz Haggerty Died from Hook Killer Attacks on GH

The next two attacks saw one victim live and the other die. Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) was attacked but the antidote to the toxin arrived not long after she was brought into GH for surgery.

But things didn’t work out so well for shady bartender and aspiring-lawyer Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno). He was happily making plans for his life while walking at the pier when the Hook got him.

It looks like he bled out before the toxin even mattered. Rest in peace Oz. We’ll update you here when there are more deaths. For now, that’s everyone who died on General Hospital in 2022.
