What’s Wrong with Willow Tait on ‘General Hospital’? Can Nina Save Her?

What’s wrong with Willow Tait on General Hospital — and is Katelyn MacMullen’s character at risk on the ABC soap? Now, her doctors start to worry and she might be doubly at risk because of her pregnancy. Will she need her mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), to save her on GH?

What’s Wrong with Willow Tait on General Hospital?

ABC soap fans wondered what would force the reveal that Nina Reeves is Willow Tait’s biological mother. For now, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) seems more than happy to keep the truth from both mother and daughter. But she’s got an agenda.

Carly hates that Nina has half the MetroCourt and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). It seems the Crimson editor’s gradually taking over all aspects of the other woman’s life. But one thing she can keep from her is family — and the truth.

General Hospital Spoilers: Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) - TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow)

On General Hospital last week, it was a tough moment when the ex-Mrs. Corinthos walked out of the MC with her box of possessions. But she slapped at Nina on the way out, saying she’d be fine because “she’s got her family”.

Of course, Carly’s rival could have family if she only told the truth. Willow wanted to know who’s her bio-mom but her adoptive mom, Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) wanted the secret to stay hidden. Now, Willow’s sick. So, what’s wrong with her on GH?

Nina Reeves’ Daughter Has an Elevated White Blood Cell Count

Willow Tait’s had a stressful few weeks and fainted a few times. Now, she was willing to write it off as a pregnancy symptom. But Dr. TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) brought her back to General Hospital to discuss her test results.

He said she had elevated white blood cells and needs further testing. But is this cause for concern for Willow? What could this mean for her and her unborn child? And will it force the reveal of her bio-mom’s identity on GH?

Elevated white blood cells can mean Willow’s got an infection. That might not be too bad. But it could also mean she’s got a bone marrow disease like leukemia or lymphoma. Then there’s multiple myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells.

It could also be an autoimmune disorder. But does that mean Nina might be needed to donate some form of biological treatment for Willow on General Hospital? Maybe. Yet things could be worse if this pregnancy means they have to delay treatment…

Will Carly Tell Nina the Truth to Save Willow on General Hospital?

For now, Carly remains stubborn and won’t give Nina the satisfaction of knowing she has a daughter alive, well, and living nearby. Later, if forced to tell the truth, she might try and make sure the wedge stays in place between Nina and her bio-daughter.

Even if she finds out that’s her mom, she may still not want her in her life. And that might be double so with Carly on the outside pushing them apart. But if Willow’s got some form of cancer like leukemia, she might be forced to come clean.

Often, bone marrow donations are used to treat leukemia. Stem cells from family members can also benefit certain autoimmune disorders. It’s clear that this illness is written to force things to change between Willow and these other women in her life.

And even if her daughter still despises Nina, her biological mom would, no doubt, still donate to save her daughter’s life. She can’t lose another after Willow Tait’s twin, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), died without ever knowing the truth.
