Welcome to Plathville star Olivia Plath has deep-rooted issues that go way back to her early childhood. The TLC star admits that when it comes to her relationships with the mother figures in her life, they have not been good.
She feels this is a huge factor in how her relationship with her mother-in-law Kim Plath has played out over the years.
Welcome to Plathville: Olivia Plath Admits Feeling Neglected by Her Mother
Olivia Plath shared some deep feelings about her husband Ethan Plath’s mom during the Season 4 finale of Welcome to Plathville. She says Kim came into her life when she desperately needed a mother figure.
The young wife states that she first met Ethan’s mom when she was only 16. She admits at first, their relationship was very special.
However, she started to see a big change in Kim as time passed. Olivia says she very much needed a mother figure when she met her future mother-in-law.
She adds that she trusted her with everything she had, more than she trusted even her mother. While in tears, Olivia admits that she often felt neglected by her mother. She explains that being one of ten children makes it easy to overlook.
Welcome to Plathville: Olivia Feels Kim Plath Lured Her In
The Welcome to Plathville star says that she feels that Kim Plath lured her in. She believes that she sensed her need and used it for her benefit.
Olivia reveals that things began to change when she found her less of use and more of an obstacle. Olivia describes when things finally blew up in her face.

She says after finding out that Ethan has a credit card that his mom was using upset her. Her husband revealed he didn’t know the computer password or his account password and had no means of stopping his mother.
She explained that she changed the account security codes, and Kim was angry when she wouldn’t share them with her. Ethan’s wife reveals that the TLC Plath matriarch suddenly turned on her calling her the devil.
Will TLC Stars Ever Reconcile?
She admits that this season of Welcome to Plathville has been hard on her. Seeing her husband begin to make amends with his family, especially his mom, was very painful for her.
She admits that her relationship with her husband hangs in the balance regarding his family. She understands his need to be close with his siblings and his parents, but it is dividing them.
Ethan tells Olivia during the finale he is not sure how much more he can take. Olivia wants her marriage to work, but she does not know if, after everything that her mother-in-law has put her through if will ever be able to reconcile with her.
Olivia knows it could cost her the marriage, and she is willing to try to do anything and everything to make Ethan happy.
