‘Temptation Island’: It’s All About Erin – Recap
On Temptation Island Erin Smith can’t accept that Cory Sobczyk is over there talking smack while she’s been whining and crying about him to anyone who will listen. Erica Washington feels betrayed by Kendal Kirkland but still loves him. Dr. Blake Eyres turns it up with Chelsea Orcutt. And Thomas Gipson makes the most of his last night with Sophia Perez. Put on your puka shell necklace and hang in there as we walk through the final dates in this recap of season 3 episode 9 No Regrets.
No Rest For The Whiners On Temptation Island
With time running out on this kooky island experiment, Erin Smith is feeling low. She saw Cory Sobczyk telling Amanda Spain-Butts that he thinks Erin is the root of his insecurity. But that he really wants someone that is afraid of losing him. Erin is blabbing on about how she’s been crying about losing him while he’s busy getting his ego stroked by a girl with a name that probably got her bullied in elementary school.
Dr. Blake Eyres leads the Temptation Island cringe parade by telling Chelsea Orcutt he wants to take things to the next level. But if she’s not into it he’ll stop. Thomas Gipson charges back into the guys villa after the bonfire and declares that he just saw his girlfriend Chelsea making out with other dudes. And makes a beeline for Sophia Perez who he has led on this entire time. He pulls her to the side and finally kisses her.
This makes Sophia squeal with delight. It’s like the head cheerleader finally got asked to the prom by the quarterback. Except the quarterback is pushing 40 and sports a cheesy goatee. But Sophia is all in with her consolation prize it seems. Kendal Kirkland is doing what he does best and spouting his BS to a lovestruck Nickole Ciszak. While Alexcys Homan sulks to Cory in the kitchen that it sucks to be the side chick who now has to worry about the other side chick.

Alexcys Says Kendal Likes Underdogs
Temptation Island host with the most Mark L. Walberg loves to roll up to the villas and watch everyone squirm. This time he announces that it’s time to choose a single for an “intimate” overnight date. Alexcys has already told Kendal that she isn’t down with him feeling a certain kind of way about Nickole. Kendal knows he already has one woman pissed off and can’t afford another. So he lies and says he isn’t into her.
At date selection Alexcys admits to a pit in her stomach that he will choose Nickole. Since he likes underdogs. So I guess that makes Alexcys top underdog under the original girlfriend he came there with. But Kendal picks Alexcys and Nickole is forced to leave the island. But she thinks she’ll be hearing from Kendal real soon. The underdog always gets under the dog in the end right?

It’s Time For Final Dates on Temptation Island
The only thing more predictable this season than Sophia showing underboob is the date selections. Thomas of course chose Sophia and Chelsea chose Blake. Erica Washington chose Jesse Stephanos and Erin Smith chose Juwan Haynes. Cory needed to top off his love tank so he picked Amanda Spain-Butts. And Julian must have not ever got the memo on what this show was about as he chose Tula Poindexter to help him ring shop for Kristen Ramos who played it safe with Lex Lindquist.
The dates on Temptation Island are pretty lame for the most part except for the helicopter ride that Erica and Jesse took. Thomas and Sophia took advantage of the overnight stay and wake up giddy and ready for coffee. Tula helped Julian pick the perfect ring and Lex let Kristen vent about Julian’s partying. Blake and Chelsea cheesed about their budding feelings but stayed in separate rooms. Erica and Jesse shared a room but things were pretty vague the next morning.
Cory admits to being at a crossroads but things stay G-rated with him and Amanda. Erin whines to Juwan about her issues stemming from being so awesome at soccer yet so sh*tty as a girlfriend. And with Nickole out of the picture Kendal and Alexcys get hot and heavy in the pool and then the bedroom. There actually was a third party involved but it wasn’t Nickole. It was Alexcys’s giant Dollar General black plastic claw hair clip that stole the show.

Time To Say Goodbye
After final dates everybody is back at the Temptation Island villas. Julian proudly shows off the ring and everyone is excited for him. Thomas and Sophia recount that they did a lot of feeding each other. In the midst of it all host Mark drops in to tell them it’s time to say goodbye. That’s right the singles need to bounce. There’s some hugging and crying and plenty of anxiety to go around. But times up.
So now everybody is left to wonder what will happen when they have to get back to reality and face their significant others. Things could go either way for most. Although it seems that Kristen and Julian will pass the test. Over in the tall lush Hawaiian grass outside the guys villa there’s a ripple. A lone blonde woman crouches down and waits, cell phone in hand. We see you Nickole. Till next time!
