‘Teen Mom’: Jenelle Evans Fights Mom over Jace Again
Teen Mom Jenelle Evans says she is ready to take on her mom Barbara Evans to get custody of her son Jace Evans. The former reality star says that it is time for a change. She reveals that she is willing to compromise with Barbara. However, she has a feeling things will not go that smoothly.
Teen Mom: Jenelle Evans Wants Full Custody of Jace Evans
Jenelle Evans Teen Mom fans know that Evans’ relationship with her mother, Barbara Evans is rocky. The two have suffered a turbulent mother-daughter relationship for many years.
When she was very young, she claims her mom talked her into signing over custody of her oldest son, Jace Evans, convincing her it was in the best interest of everyone.
In 2010, Jenelle signed over custody of Jace to her mother, Barb. Then, in 2015 she sued her mom for full custody. The case was ready to come to court in 2017, but they finally reached an agreement to avoid a trial.
Then, four years later, Jenelle filed suit again in 2021, asking for full custody. Thanks to COVID and other delays, it’s heading to court unless, like last time, mother and daughter can broker peace over Jace.

The former reality star now feels that she is ready and in a position to take over primary custody of her 12-year-old son. Evans says that if a court trial is necessary, she is willing to fight it out.
However, in the meantime, the Teen Mom alum says she is attempting to work things out civilly. She says right now, her custody agreement states that she gets her son Jace every other weekend.
But, Jenelle wants more time with her son. She says that if her mom Barbara Evans is willing to compromise, she is ready to switch the arrangement to having Jace during the week and allowing Barb weekends.
However, she feels Barbara will not be too willing to change the agreement. She also reveals that she and her mom are currently not on speaking terms.
Jenelle Says She Would Compromise With Barbara Evans
She reveals that the only discussion she has with Barbara Evans is during Jace’s drop-off and pick-up. However, when it comes to Jace and co-parenting, Jenelle will admit that in the past, things have been good.
She says that when Barbara has a tough time dealing with Jace’s behavior, she will call her to discuss it. The Teen Mom star adds that her mom will also ask her to talk to her son when he acts out.
While Jenelle reveals she is planning this custody move, the former MTV star has also made new career moves.
Evans and her husband, David Eason, recently shared that they were branching out career-wise with their social media followers. They both announced they were joining O*** F**s, the mature-themed social platform.

However, in light of Jenelle Evans’ recent career move, fans wonder if her mom Barbara Evans will find a way to use her association with the mature-themed platform to stop Jenelle from seeking custody of Jace.
