‘Teen Mom’: Amber Portwood’s Ex Gary Shirley Testifies During Custody Case
Teen Mom Amber Portwood and her ex-Gary Shirley’s relationship has come a long way in recent months. He took the stand to testify on her behalf during her nasty custody battle with her ex-Andrew Glennon.

However, since ending their recent feud, the former Teen Mom couple has become quite close. Shirley reveals sharing an amicable co-parenting relationship together. Amber is currently undergoing a heated battle with the father of her three-year-old son James Glennon. Portwood’s ex Andrew is petitioning the court for permission to relocate with the couple’s young son to California.
Amber reveals that if Andrew moves across the country with their son, it will drastically decrease her visitations to three monthly visits of ten hours per day with no overnights. She said that she is doing everything to keep Glennon from taking her son from her. This includes bringing her ex-Gary to court to testify on her behalf.
The Teen Mom ex Shirley tells the court that Amber Portwood has come a long way. He adds that she is currently living a very stable life and that their co-parenting relationship is very positive. However, court documents reveal Shirley became very emotional when discussing their volatile history.
Gary Tells the Judge He Is Proud of Amber
However, Gary assures the court that Amber is a different person now than she was then. He tells the judge that he continues to notice more positive things about his daughter’s mother every day.
“I’m very proud of her,” Gary Shirley said. In addition, he tells the court that he witnessed Amber with both Leah and her son James.
Shirley describes her bond with her son James as different from the one she shares with their daughter. Gary’s emotional testimony reveals that Amber and James visit his home to spend time with Leah a few times a month.

They develop a strong family bond together and see nothing but love between Amber and her children. Gary discusses the Teen Mom star’s medical diagnosis and reveals that Amber’s mental health continues to improve drastically.
Shirley says that he feels that she was finally correctly diagnosed. In addition, he feels she is on the correct medication and has learned to handle herself.
MTV’s Andrew Glennon Accused of Using James in Money Making Scheme
Teen Mom Amber Portwood’s ex-Gary tells the judge that if Glennon moves away with James, it will affect his sister Leah tremendously. Additionally, a lot of crazy information is coming out during the case.
Most recently, news broke that Glennon was allegedly offering fans the opportunity to meet their son James for $10,000.
When Andrew attempted to explain his intentions, he reportedly became flustered. Glennon says he was trying to develop a business plan for a trivia game. He adds that GoFundMe was set up for donations.
Andrew reveals his plans were to meet with contributors to discuss the venture. And, since James is always with him, they would also meet his son. However, the plan failed. So, nothing ever came of the meetings. But, he states he would do nothing to place James in harm’s way.
Teen Mom Amber Portwood Continues Custody Fight
Teen Mom Amber Portwood reveals she plans on continuing her fight with Andrew Glennon. However, she said she hopes to achieve a fair and equal custody arrangement. But, for now, she says she will continue to abide by the court’s current custody agreement.
