Return to Amish: Johnny Detweiler Makes Coffee Soup
Johnny Detweiler shows off his culinary skills. He makes his favorite breakfast dish called “coffee soup.” He explains that the ingredients to make the soup is coffee, sugar, cream, and crackers. However, he adds that some people like to use cornflakes instead of crackers. But he likes how it tastes with crackers instead.

The Return to Amish reality star loves making coffee soup. He feels that it gives him energy. And even though it may not sound like your typical breakfast meal. He thinks it’s “really good” and that people should try it.
However, not everyone enjoys the TLC star’s coffee soup. His girlfriend, Rosanna Miller, thinks it looks “totally disgusting.” She also doesn’t think it tastes good. She even believes it looks like “slop.” So, she won’t be joining him in eating it.
Johnny Eats Soup to Stay Awake
Johnny admits that his coffee soup doesn’t look good. However, he thinks it tastes good. And it is something that he has been eating since he was a little kid.
According to the Return to Amish cast member, eating the coffee soup was the only time he was allowed to have the caffeinated drink growing up. He started having it at around eight years old. And hasn’t stopped since.
The TLC celeb was allowed to have the coffee soup before he went to church. He explains that it gave him energy so he wouldn’t fall asleep and stay awake during the long church ceremony.
Return to Amish Fans Won’t Eat It
Johnny Detweiler’s breakfast grub doesn’t sit well with viewers. Many people agree with Rosanna Miller’s thoughts about it not looking good to eat. One person thinks it was funny when Rosanna said it looks like slop. They feel that her “honest delivery” cracks them up. Another person agrees with her and thinks that the soup dish looks gross.
Many Return to Amish fans wouldn’t even want to try Johnny’s coffee soup. One person says that they will “pass on the coffee soup.” Another person doesn’t think anyone could pay them to eat it.
However, one person admits to not knowing the Amish put cornflakes in their coffee. The fan explains that her father would put cornflakes in his coffee when she was young. She always thought it looked gross. But, as she got older, she started to do the same thing. She even admits to dipping her bread with no butter in Pepsi.
During the last episode of the TLC show, Ada Byler leaves to go back home to be with her granddaughter, Maureen Byler. She reveals Maureen is pregnant. Now that she is out of the house, the others have to make their own food. So, Johnny may be eating more coffee soups.
