Whitney Thore’s mother, Babs Thore, has been recovering from a major stroke. After months in the hospital, the My Big Fat Fabulous Life reality star left and moved into a senior living facility. The facility is able to give her the rehab she needs to recover.

After suffering a stroke, Babs was apart from her husband. Glenn Thore went back and forth from home to the hospital to see his wife. However, he decided to live with her when she moved into the senior living facility. So, they have been living together there.

Babs Thore’s family thought she was making progress. Whitney Thore was glad to see her mother taking steps forward in her recovery. She felt that things were starting to go back to normal. However, she receives terrible news from her father about the My Big Fat Fabulous Life star.

Babs Struggles to Breathe

Babs Thore suffers a setback in her recovery. According to Glenn Thore, his wife had called him into the room and told him that she couldn’t breathe. He then saw her gasping for air. He explains that her breathing didn’t get better. So, they called for help. She was then taken to the hospital.

According to Whitney Thore, when the EMS came, her mother’s oxygen level was in the 70s. She explains that a normal level is 95.

She says, “it was bad.” Whitney knows she has to be realistic. But she thought it would be “smooth sailing” once her mother left the hospital and went into rehab.

Whitney Thore finds it tough having her mother in the hospital again. The My Big Fat Fabulous Life cast member says it is very stressful. After everything Babs has overcome, being unable to breathe can be “so scary.” And that makes Whitney feel sad.

Ever since Whitney Thore’s mother had her stroke, she has been afraid that she would suffer a setback.

She feels that Babs Thore has been taking one step forward, and now this is two steps back. Whitney knows there is light at the end of the tunnel, but something happens, and the “rug gets pulled out from under you.”

However, Whitney gets good news about Babs’ health. Glenn Thore tells the My Big Fat Fabulous Life celeb that her mother’s oxygen levels are back to normal.

Yet, they couldn’t figure out what caused the breathing attack. But they will continue to run tests to determine if anything is wrong.

Whitney then finds out that Babs can leave the hospital. Glenn tells his daughter that the hospital told him his wife is being discharged. Whitney is happy to hear the news. However, she wonders if going in and out of the hospital will continue in the future.
