Whitney Thore‘s parents, Babs Thore and Glenn Thore from My Big Fat Fabulous Life, have a new living arrangement. They lived in their home in Greensboro, N.C, for decades. But, after a recent health scare, they have made a change in the place they call home.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Whitney Thore’s Mom Babs Thore Gets into Senior Living Facility
Whitney Thore’s mother, Babs Thore, dealt with a horrible health scare. The My Big Fat Fabulous Life reality star suffered a stroke. She previously had one a few years back.
But, this time, it was more severe. On top of having a stroke, she had COVID and a UTI. She spent a few weeks in the hospital. However, she started to show signs of improvement. Yet, she still needed more therapy and around-the-clock care.

So, Whitney Thore and Glenn Thore decided to look for a senior living facility where Babs could get the care she needed to recover. It wasn’t an easy task.
The My Big Fat Fabulous Life family only had a few days to find and place, and there was little availability. However, they eventually got the good news they were hoping for. Babs got into their first choice of facility — Abbotswood.
While Babs Thore was recovering in the hospital, Glenn Thore was by her side every day. But did he move into Abbotswood with her?
Glenn Thore Shows Babs Dance Moves
Glenn Thore hasn’t left his wife’s side since she left the rehab facility at the hospital. He even recently showed off his dance moves to Babs Thore.
They attended a beach music party at Abbotswood. And Glenn didn’t hesitate to dance with his wife, who is in a wheelchair.
According to Whitney Thore, her father, Glenn, “had his boogie shoes on.” The My Big Fat Fabulous Life cast member loves seeing her parents have fun together. She hopes to be in a marriage like her mother and father.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life Couple Living Together Again
Glenn Thore and his wife, Babs Thore, are inseparable. She wasn’t able to move into their home in Greensboro, N.C. Their house wasn’t set up to give her the proper care she would need to recover.
However, that didn’t stop them from living together. Glenn wasn’t living separately from his wife for long.
According to Whitney Thore, her father moved in with her mother in Abbotswood. The My Big Fat Fabulous Life reality star explains that Babs’ quality of life is “far better there.”
She also says that her parents are “both very happy” living there. And Glenn’s dance moves prove they are having a lot of fun together in this new chapter of their life.
Whitney also clarifies that they do not get a discount for mentioning the facility on the show. So, she feels fortunate that they can “afford the level of care they offer.”
She believes it has made an “incredible difference” in Babs’ quality of life. And she says that it’s her and Glenn’s home now.
