My 600-lb Life: Dr. Nowzaradan’s Toilet Gets Destroyed

Dr. Younan Nowzaradan from My 600-lb Life works with Lupe Samano, a woman who is desperately looking to lose weight. When she first makes her appearance on the show, she weighs 642 pounds at the age of 39. Also, she admits her husband Gilbert Donovan is her primary caretaker and how she wouldn’t be able to do anything for herself if it wasn’t for him.

After realizing how she isn’t going to live much longer if she continues to use food as a coping mechanism, she signs up for help from My 600-lb Life star Dr. Nowzaradan. She admits she’s always had problems with overeating, especially after her father abandoned her and her sister in a bathtub. Then, she goes on to reveal during her teenage years, she ended up weighing more than 500 pounds.

While waiting in Dr. Nowzaradan’s office on My 600-lb Life, Lupe describes a sudden urge she feels to use the bathroom. So, she goes in with her husband Gilbert to use the restroom. But, she’s too large for the bathroom and they’re unable to close the door while she’s on the toilet. She uses her walker to shuffle over the pot and as she sits down, the potty breaks.

Lupe starts to freak out, as she worries she’s going to fall into the bowl.

Fire Department Called for Help

On My 600-lb Life, Dr. Nowzaradan’s patient Lupe is too large to be lifted up by anyone in the medical office. As she cries, she says she’s afraid because she doesn’t want to fall into the toilet. Nurses rush to her side and attempt to help her off the top of the porcelain throne.

Lupe’s husband calls for the help of a nurse, who is also unable to lift her up. So, they decide to call 9-1-1 because she’s stuck on top of the potty. Dr. Nowzaradan checks on his patient and realizes how dangerous the situation is. He says it’s bad for her because she’s putting a lot of strain on her heart.
