‘Married at First Sight’: Gil Cuero Drags Myrla for Being Boujee – Says Growing Up Poor Is No Excuse

Married at First Sight: Gil Cuero Teases Myrla Feria about Materialism
Myrla Feria bared her soul to her new husband, Gil Cuero, about her childhood and growing up in poverty. She believes the way a person grows up has a lot to do with how they turn out. She pointed back to her past and said she felt that was why she likes high rises and nice houses.
Gil Cuero laughed on Married at First Sight at the thought that Myrla Feria’s poor upbringing made her demand nice things. But, he said, “That’s not how it works.” Myrla said that things affect different people in different ways. While Myrla became boujee – demanding the finer things in life – Gil took another path and became a firefighter.
When Myrla showed him her tiny house with a tin roof, Gil said it was a “mansion.”
He told about his upbringing without money and said her house was an upgrade from where he lived.
Fans of Married at First Sight didn’t feel that Gil sympathized with her situation at all. However, Myrla had said before that she always wanted to have nice things – she just couldn’t afford it.
MAFS: Myrla Is Proud of Her Achievements
Gil Cuero doesn’t care about designer clothes and nice things as much as Myrla Feria does. However, he did wear a pair of Gucci shoes on an episode of Unfiltered. He said he likes nice things too, but he didn’t need to have as much of them as his Married at First Sight wife did.
Myrla felt proud of the things she had accomplished. She mentioned that her siblings did well for themselves also. However, she felt so good about these things because she thought it made her mother proud.
She and her siblings are protective of their mother and make sure she doesn’t go without. Myrla Feria might be boujee, and Gil Cuero might give her a difficult time, but she won Married at First Sight fans over. So many people said they are switching to team Myrla because she’s such an awesome person.

Fans of Lifetime complained that Gil calling Myrla Feria a brat is old now. When they went on a horse ride, she said that she wished it was longer. Viewers said that was perfectly acceptable – and even sweet. Many people started to wonder if Gil Cuero would push his wife away with all of his criticism.
Even though some viewers said they couldn’t take it, Myrla took it like a champ. She always says “noted” whenever he says things that bother him. She said it wouldn’t happen again. Fans of the show Married at First Sight said that is another reason she won them over. So, while Gil Cuero may give Myrla Feria a hard time, the fans are in her corner.
