Gil sat down with Myrla on Married at First Sight. He told her he had a lot to think about as it came up to Decision Day. The main issue he brought up was about her attitude and how she acted about certain things. He said she thought she was better than other people because she had nice things.

Myrla Feria had been very good at receiving negative things about herself from Gil Cuero lately. He would tell her something she did he didn’t like, and she would “receive it” and promise to do better. This time, however, she said, “I hear you. And I don’t agree.”
Married at First Sight fans admire Myrla for remaining so calm while he continued to tell her these things. He even went so far as to say he wasn’t sure he would be able to live with her negativity. The experts do encourage open communication, but it seems as if all the things Gil says to his wife are mostly negative.
MAFS: Gil’s Complaining about Negativity Is Negative
One fan pointed out that Gil Cuero complains about Myrla a lot. He complained about her negativity, but he acted just as negatively about her. Some people think fans don’t get to see some of the things she does that he can’t stand.
Soap Dirt remembers how she complained about their honeymoon. She didn’t like the resort and said it looked like a retirement community. Gil took her on an airplane ride, and she said she never wanted to do that again because it made her sick.
There are a lot of points in Married at First Sight where Myrla Feria did act a little “better than” other people. However, most people see through to her big heart especially when she talks about how amazing her husband is and how happy she is to be in her marriage.
Married at First Sight: Myrla Standing Up for Herself
Since the beginning of the Married at First Sight season, Myrla Feria showed up as a strong woman. However, when it came to her husband, she kept allowing him to harp on the things he didn’t like about her. She finally told him she didn’t agree with him, and it seemed like their marriage was on the rocks.
This is a change from when Myrla talked to Dr. Pepper Schwartz about Gil Cuero and said how grateful she was to have her husband. On an episode of Unfiltered, she told Jamie Otis that Gil wouldn’t stop making jabs at her.
In fact, she said, “That’s just who he is, and it’s not going to change.”
