Shawniece Jackson said that MAFS viewers don’t see everything. In fact, she said she and Jephte Pierre made sure to get their story straight before taping the show. Because she didn’t want them to come at each other, but that didn’t always work.
Married at First Sight wife Shawniece went on to say that many of the good times with Jephte didn’t show up. They lived in the moment and had a lot of good times, but they didn’t always stop to tape it. She said that made some people send death threats to Jephte Pierre.
Shawniece Jackson said that people even called his work and tried to get him fired. Throughout the process, she said Jephte Pierre dealt with depression. And they had to work really hard to get through these terrible times together.
Shawniece Defends Dr. Pepper Schwartz
Married at First Sight expert Dr. Pepper Schwartz got a lot of heat recently. She put out a statement about Chris Williams and compared Chris & Paige Banks’ relationship with Jephte’s and Shawniece’s relationship.
Fans of Married at First Sight didn’t like the comparison. And said that Jephte Pierre wasn’t anything like Chris Williams. Shawniece Jackson said she understood people feeling upset about that, but she didn’t think that’s what Dr. Pepper meant.
Shawniece Jackson said she felt like Dr. Pepper Schwartz meant they were both hard to watch. And MAFS wifey Shawniece said she thought both of them were hard to watch. She didn’t think everyone should feel some type of way about Dr. Pepper because of her comment about Jephte.

Jephte Pierre did seem stand-offish in the beginning. But as he warmed up to Shawniece, fans said it was easy to see Jephte cared for her. Now, they have a little girl that they absolutely adore.

Recently, they put on their own carnival since they couldn’t celebrate the normal way due to COVID-19. Their daughter, Laura Pierre, put on a cute costume and looked like she had an amazing time.
Fans of Married at First Sight said they were glad to see them having fun. And exploring some of Jephte’s Hattian roots. Jephte said it meant a lot to him that Shawniece and his daughter be a part of it.
