‘Married At First Sight’ Recap: Brett Sees the Writing On the Wall – S13E09

Married At First Sight Recap S13E09 – Brett sees the writing on the wall when it comes to Ryan Ignasiak at a barbecue where the others seem to mesh. Johnny Lam And Bao Huong Hoang have a breakthrough in the bedroom. Zack Freeman is weary of Michaela Clark‘s temper. And Rachel Gordillo fesses up about her infidelity to Jose San Miguel Jr. Let the Prosecco flow and let’s try and process Season 13, Episode 9 Could This Be Love.

Brett Feels “Tingly” Towards Ryan Ignasiak: Married at First Sight Recap

Brett is trying for anything with Married At First Sight match Ryan Ignasiak. She suggests a game day with some added desperation on her part. It’s really just Jenga, but Brett wasted time she will never get back writing out things she likes about him on little pieces of paper. So, when he pulls a piece and doesn’t topple the board he gets his ego stroked. Ryan is already over it and mocks her by calling her Jose.

The game ends with Brett toppling the tower and admitting she feels “warm and tingly” towards Ryan Ignasiak but doesn’t think he feels it back. Ryan’s face cracks and sweats like a hunk of Parmesan cheese in the sun when she questions him. The Married At First Sight experts send out another game for the couples. This involves asking each other about past love and what it would take for them to fall in love.

Ryan admits he’s been in love a few times. Maybe. But he’s not there yet with Brett. She stares at him like fish on a line wondering when he will pull the hook out and cast her back to sea. Brett musters up the enthusiasm and tone of a third grade teacher and asks “what will it take for YOU to fall in love”.

Married At First Sight‘s Ryan Ignasiak holds back from answering “a different wife” but the writing’s on the wall. And it’s crystal clear when Brett sees how all the other couples are progressing while she’s in limbo with Ryan.

Johnny Lam Hits the Bullseye with Bao – MAFS Recap S13E09

Bao Huong Hoang whips up a delicious meal for Johnny Lam on Lifetime’s Married At First Sight. She wants him to know she’s all in. And she can see he’s having doubts about their marriage. Johnny admits she’s not wrong. But accuses her of not knowing his heart. And it’s clear that no matter how perfectly the salmon is cooked it’s not really the way to it as the two argue instead of eat.

While Married At First Sight viewers could see that Johnny Lam didn’t feel a spark right away, he’s still looking for it. So he wisely makes the expert’s love question challenge into a drinking game. With the Prosecco flowing, Bao and Johnny shelve the boring stuff and get right to the birds and the bees.

Johnny admits he relied on Hentai for his adult education. This cracks Bao right up and after a quick search of ‘Hentai”, me as well. It’s Japanese inspired cartoon e**tic art so now you know.

On Married At First Sight, Johnny and Bao Huong Hoang parlay the champagne and cartoons into their very first real night of marital passion. Now on a roll they continue with Bao turning their apartment into a makeshift sports bar with fried chicken, endless beer and darts. Johnny Lam wins the dart game and gets to call the shots in the bedroom that night as a prize.

Bao is the real winner though as she has defeated the body pillow and says she’s worming her way into his heart “like a parasite”.

Zack Freeman Thinks Michaela Clark Stings Like a Bee during Married at First Sight

Zack Freeman is frustrated on MAFS. He tries to explain to Michaela Clark why he’s actually a little afraid of her outbursts. He tries to explain it by using bees as an analogy. Zack says he pictures himself under a tree reading the story of his marriage. But an angry bee keeps buzzing and finally he gets stung. This is kinda how he feels when Michaela goes from 0 to 100 on the temper speedometer.

At the risk of getting stung again, he pulls back a little on Married At First Sight. Michaela Clark tells him that a bee doesn’t sting unless provoked. And asks him to consider his side of things. Zack Freeman feels that they have very different communication styles. But they agree to move forward.

Zack thinks it would be fun to cook shrimp scampi with a chef via zoom. They manage to get through it just fine. But Zack thinks Michaela needs work on seasoning techniques.

For their date the two head out for some nice looking cocktails to answer the love questions. Married At First Sight expert Dr. Pepper Schwartz hides in a nearby booth to intervene if Michaela Clark decides to blow. Neither claims to have been in love before.

And, Zack Freeman admits most women can’t ace his checklist of attributes as reported by Soap Dirt. He rattles them off and Michaela’s tension grows. Dr. Pepper calls for backup. But thanks to strong drinks the two will go on for another day.

Rachel Gordillo Spills the Tea on Her Infidelity

Rachel Gordillo plans a delightful morning of goat yoga with Jose San Miguel Jr. on Married At First Sight on Lifetime. In spite of him chastising her improper toothpaste tube extraction. Rachel requested all baby goats so it’s enough to melt even the hardest of hearts. Except for Myrla Feria who might think the baby goats stink.

Jose is a great sport and even cuddles a sleepy baby goat at the end. This gives Rachel big time daddy vibes from Jose.

Things are a little less warm and fuzzy when the pair do their MAFS homework. Rachel Gordillo admits to being in love before. Jose San Miguel Jr. says he gained a “strong sense of like” during a four year relationship with a single mom.

But, in the end he really wasn’t down with dealing with her kids. So, that was the end of it. Rachel is a little taken aback by this. Especially after seeing how gentle he was with the yoga goat.

Jose finally asks her what the deal was when she admitted to cheating on someone in the past. Rachel Gordillo from Married At First Sight admits that it was in year two of an 8 year relationship. In other words she went out with the girls, alcohol was involved, she ran into an ex and yada, yada, yada.

Jose San Miguel admits he wouldn’t be so forgiving if she did this to him. And shares wisdom from his grandfather: ” If you go to the barber shop often enough you’ll eventually get a haircut.” Especially if you keep nagging her about the toothpaste.

Myrla Feria Needs a Designer Drink on Married at First Sight

Myrla Feria tries to keep it real. But can’t help herself from becoming a walking cliché’ of wanna be bougie. During the love question game neither her or Gil Cuero are there yet. But they aren’t ready to call it a day yet either. Married At First Sight‘s Myrla thinks love is a choice. Much like Gil’s chocolate chip cookie habit.

Myrla casually slips in that she prefers keto cookies (of course she does). So it’s refreshing to see her shovel in some mac-n-cheese later to prove she’s human after all.

Married At First Sight‘s Gil wants to have his cookies and eat them too. He entices her with a foot massage but Myrla isn’t really all that impressed. She rates him a five-ish on his skills. Gil Cuero isn’t one to give up so he agrees to hit up a posh spot with his bride so she can get a cute pink drink called the Chanel#6.

Now girl, if you are really trying to be cool in 2021 don’t go all Carrie Bradshaw 1999 on us.
