According to a reliable leaker, MAFS Season 16 has only one couple that survives Decision Day. And fans seem certain that Shaq and his wife won’t be the one pair that makes it.
Married at First Sight Nashville: Kirsten Grimes Holds out on Husband
MAFS Nashville‘s already seeing some big difficulties for several couples. From the moment 32-year-old realtor Kirsten Grimes saw her groom, she was not into him. Meanwhile, 31-year-old doctoral candidate Shaquille Dillon is totally into his gorgeous wife.
At certain times on Married at First Sight, it looks like Kirsten’s warming up to him. Shaquille even said she rubs his bald head all the time. In one recent scene, Shaquille was cuddled up to his new bride on their Jamaican honeymoon as they sat outside.
But on the MAFS aftershow, Afterparty, when host Keshia Knight Pulliam talked to Shaquille about that scene, he dropped a bomb. Shaquille said that when they’re alone, Kirsten was very hands-off. But when cameras are on them, he says she’s touchy-feely.
So, is she fronting for filming? According to her husband, Kirsten’s still stone cold on the idea of them getting frisky — or even affectionate. Sure sounds like Kirsten and her hubby are one of the four Married at First Sight fails in Season 16.
MAFS Fans Think Shaquille Dillon Won’t Ever Get a Good Kiss
Recently, a Redditor in the MAFS fan group polled members about Kirsten Grimes and Shaquille Dillon. The poll asked, “Will Shaq & Kristen share a romantic kiss this season?” And more than 900 members voted their opinion.
You can see the results below. The majority (48%) said there’s “no way” they’ll share a good kiss. But about a third (34%) are more optimistic choosing “Yes!” as their answer. A small percentage of Married at First Sight watchers polled were in the middle.
17% of respondents replied “Unsure” of whether the smooch will happen or not on the Lifetime matchmaking show. So, most of those polled seem certain that Shaquille won’t get that full-on kiss he wants from Kirsten Grimes. And many comments were scathing.
And his revealing words on MAFS Afterparty seem to confirm that there’s no spark there — at least not from her side. It’s evident that Shaq’s pretty smitten by Kirsten — and he’s very physically attracted to her. But it’s not reciprocated.
However, one commenter claiming to be a relative of his seemed to contradict what he said on the post-show claiming that they have kissed in private during the honeymoon. We’ll have to keep watching and see…

For now, it seems Shaquille Dillon’s fighting an uphill battle trying to get any loving from Kirsten Grimes. The bottom line is that she told the experts what she wanted — and he’s not a fit for her. Perhaps he’ll grow on her as Season 16 progresses.
