‘Married at First Sight’: Katina Goode Reveals Why She Joined MAFS
Married at First Sight newcomer Katina Goode revealed why she decided to take a chance on MAFS. Many Lifetime fans said she didn’t look like someone that would need help in love.
Married at First Sight: Katina Goode’s Reason for Joining MAFS
Katina is a big fan of Married at First Sight. In fact, she said she was one of the people that sat around with a glass of wine and watched, according to Essence. This made many people wonder why she would sign up for the process. A show where most of the people get divorced.
Katina Goode said she is an optimistic person and had always been that way. She said she knew it would be a 50/50 chance whether the experts would match her with someone she would like.
Instead of focusing on the negative, she said she wanted to focus on the wins. All the couples that got good marriages out of Married at First Sight.
She said she thinks you only have one life to live, and she wanted to take a leap of faith. After all, she didn’t think she had anything to lose. Even if she divorced, she wouldn’t be any worse off for it.
MAFS: Katina Focused on Healing
Katina Goode told the other wives of Married at First Sight about some of her painful experiences. At least twice, she dated a man that was in another long-term relationship. She asked, “Do I have ‘side chick’ on my forehead or something?”
The other women on Married at First Sight felt bad for her. And said they couldn’t believe she had to deal with something so terrible.
Katina said that she didn’t want these things to ruin her new marriage. So, she focused on healing herself before getting into a relationship.
Katina said she found a therapist and worked on herself a lot before coming on Married at First Sight. She felt like there were signs that led her to join the cast. Even so, she said she did have to cut off a few people she was “having fun” with without dating.
Married at First Sight: Getting the Most Out of Marriage
Katina Goode said she wanted to find someone she could live life with and fall in love with. She wants a family and wants her husband to be her very best friend.

Fans worry that her Married at First Sight husband might not hold up to those standards. In fact, the man they matched her with said if a woman doesn’t cook, she’s “not a wife.”
Olajuwon Dickerson is a “reformed playboy.” But, people aren’t so sure about that after seeing him at the bachelor party.
Even so, some people hold out hope that things will go well on season 14 for Katina and her new husband, Olajuwon.
