‘Married at First Sight’: Johnny Lam Gaslights – Bao Huong Hoang Angry & Wants Credit
Married at First Sight husband Johnny Lam had some harsh words for Bao Huong Hoang. Many Lifetime fans think he is gaslighting her hard as she started to question herself.
Married at First Sight: Johnny Lam Blasts Bao
Johnny could hardly look at his wife on a recent MAFS episode. Bao wanted them to meet with Pastor Cal Roberson, but he said he wasn’t ready – even though he did it anyway. During the meeting, he said, “There are times when I would have almost rather been matched with anyone else.”
Married at First Sight fans, as well as Pastor Cal, said that was a pretty harsh thing for Johnny Lam to say. Even so, Bao Huong Hoang continued to stand by him and encouraged him about the future. She cried from his harsh words and then started questioning whether she was fake or not, and her own sanity.
On an episode of Unfiltered, she told host Jamie Otis that “you don’t act the same around everyone”. There’s the professional side, the family side, the wife side, etc. However, she said she did feel like she was the same person but didn’t always put everything out there to the public.
Lifetime’s Bao Huong Hoang Fuming at Johnny
Johnny planned to take Bao to his family’s get-together. Everyone thought he would bring his Married at First Sight wife there. His Aunt even encouraged him to make it work with his lady, but he wasn’t hearing it.
Bao was back at home very upset because she’s practiced learning their names in Mandarin. There were a lot of people at the get-together, and it obviously took her a lot of time. Johnny Lam said, “I don’t want my family getting attached to her when I don’t even know if I like her.”
Bao Huong Hoang said Johnny keeps saying she isn’t trying, but it looks like he’s the one not doing husband and wife things. It seems like she is starting to see that Johnny Lam keeps moving the target and telling her it is all her fault. Whatever the case, she continues to say she is going to stick with it.

Married at First Sight: Will Johnny & Bao Make It?
Bao said she understands she needs to be the strong one in the MAFSÂ relationship right now, as reported by Soap Dirt. But most people don’t think she should put up with the way he does things. He continues to storm off and not sleep at the apartment and always tears her down.
Bao Huong Hoang said she needs credit for the things she does that are nice. Johnny said he knows she does those things for him. But he said those aren’t important to him. His wife pointed out that she doesn’t know him yet, and she’s trying her best. If he is gaslighting her, will her best ever be good enough?
