‘Married at First Sight’: Jacob Harder Annoyed by Pre-Wedding Gift
Married at First Sight husband Jacob Harder bought his new wife, Haley Harris, an expensive jewelry piece before their wedding. Married at First Sight: Big Backfire – Jacob Harder Went Big on Gift for Haley Harris
Jacob Harder, Married at First Sight Season 12 cast member, went all out on a pre-wedding present for his new bride, Haley Harris. Jacob arranged to have a bracelet sent to Haley before they said their vows on the Lifetime show. However, he said he hadn’t seen it since then, and it appears to bother him greatly.
Haley initially thought the present from Jacob Harder was a necklace. It appears she never even opened the box to see what it was. She didn’t wear it for the wedding, and she did not take it with her on the Married at First Sight honeymoon. Instead, Haley Harris’ mother took it back to Alabama while they were gone. Haley said she was already dressed when it arrived, and her Mom took it for safekeeping during the wedding.
Afterward, she and Jacob left for the honeymoon, and she didn’t think about it. When Jacob Harder of Married at First Sight brought up the subject of the bracelet, Haley Harris said he didn’t use her gift either. Haley sent him a ball cap with the University of Alabama logo on it. Jacob replied a $20 hat versus an $800 bracelet wasn’t the same. He took it as she doesn’t care about him, so she doesn’t care about the bracelet.
MAFS: Dr. Pepper Takes Jacob Harder’s Side
Married at First Sight expert Dr. Pepper Schwartz took sides with Jacob Harder on the issue of the bracelet. Jacob said it wasn’t so much that she didn’t wear it as much as she didn’t even keep it. He felt she should at least have it available, and the fact that she doesn’t just reveals how she feels about him. Dr. Pepper told Haley Harris he was hurt that she didn’t even show basic appreciation for the gift he bought for his wife, even though he didn’t know her at the time.
Haley seemed surprised at the comparison. Dr.Pepper explained that a rejection of the bracelet equates to the rejection of Jacob Harder. Haley Harris appeared not to understand why that would be. She bit her lips and didn’t say much. Dr. Pepper said she didn’t see much empathy or appreciation from Haley in respect to the bracelet. But later in the program, Married at First Sight, Haley called her Mom.
She told her mother that Jacob was making a big deal of it, and she needed her Mom to send it to her. Married at First Sight’s Haley Harris noticed her spouse Jacob Harder had placed the ball-cap on her dresser. Her mother said Haley needed to return the bracelet, and he should never have bought something that expensive for her in the first place.
Married at First Sight: Haley Harris Takes Offense at Husband’s Wardrobe
Since they got Married at First Sight, Haley Harris has not liked Jacob Harder’s clothing style. Many of her objections to him when she spoke to his friends revolved around how he dressed on their honeymoon. When her friend asked for something more than surface appearance, Haley seemed to struggle with why she had a hard time connecting with Jacob.
In the most recent episode of Married at First Sight, Haley Harris took Jacob to the batting cage. She had something to say about his clothes because he wore jeans and boots and thought it was an unusual choice. Later, speaking with Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Haley asked why didn’t he want to be comfortable? Jacob Harder said he didn’t like tennis shoes, and he was comfortable in his jeans and boots.
Jacob didn’t comprehend why his choice of clothes should be an issue for Haley. She also mentioned something about his manner of dress when Jacob took her putt-putt golfing. Jacob had some pictures, and one showed him golfing in cut-offs and sandals at a company event. Haley Harris was surprised he didn’t get fired over the way he dressed.
