There is more to Erik Lake from Married at First Sight than meets the eye. The rock band was surprising, and when he broke out the tunes for Virginia Coombs, it was pretty sweet. But viewers freaked out to see how totally different Erik looked when he was Virginia’s age.
Some people even said they thought Erik Lake from MAFS got some type of cosmetic surgery. Others said he just aged well and didn’t go under the knife. Whatever the case, he doesn’t look like the same person about 10 years later.
During the time period of the picture, Married at First Sight hubby Erik Lake got his wings. And that’s when he was with his ex-wife, but it seems like before they got married. His wife looked very young and was a model, so they said they understand the Virginia Coombs situation much better now.
Erik Acting Like a Parent to Virginia Coombs?
Married at First Sight fans don’t like the way Erik Lake treats Virginia. He always has something to say about the way she does things. For instance, she fixed her hair before she went to the pool, and he didn’t approve.
Virginia Coombs wanted to look nice when she went to the pool. But Erik Lake thought it was a waste of time to fix herself up. She said she doesn’t wet her hair at the pool. And if she didn’t do this now, she would take extra long getting ready later.
Married at First Sight husband Erik said they would have to work on that. And that he would help her learn how to get on a schedule. Virginia didn’t seem to love the way he talked to her about the issue.

Erik Lake and Virginia Coombs might seem like a strange couple. But they seem to like the match they got, so that’s the most important thing. They may have some communication issues, but that’s normal when marrying a stranger.
Even though they have some issues, they do their best to make sure they talk them out. In the beginning, they mainly broached subjects when speaking with the experts. Erik said he and Virginia didn’t like to get into fights, so they kind of kept quiet.
