Married at First Sight: Danielle Needs Reality Check, Bobby Dodd Needs Backbone on Happily Ever After

Married at First Sight: Happily Ever After shows things escalate for Danielle Bergman and Bobby Dodd. They finally have their first fight, and it’s a big one. The near-perfect couple struggle for the first time, and that struggle pushes Bobby to his breaking point.

House Hunting a nightmare on Married at First Sight: Happily Ever After

MAFS: Happily Ever After starts out innocent enough for Bobby and Danielle. The pair hunt for a new house as they continue to build their lives together. It’s quickly apparent that the couple are not on the same page. They each have different priorities when it comes to what they’re looking for in a house. Right off the bat, it’s obvious that Bobby takes a more practical approach while Danielle wants her dream home at all costs on Married at First Sight: Happily Ever After.

The always-agreeable Bobby struggles for the first time on MAFS: Happily Ever After. What Danielle wants is not only outrageous but also impractical. He hasn’t learned to say no to Danielle, and it makes the relationship extremely one-sided. Bobby bends over backwards to accommodate Danielle at his own expense. He’s spread himself too thin trying to make her happy, and Pastor Calvin Roberson advises him to push back. He struggles to grow a backbone the entire episode, and it will cost him – literally.

Bobby Dodd and Danielle Bergman not on the same page

To illustrate his point on Married at First Sight: Happily Ever After, Pastor Calvin gives the couple an activity. They are each given cards with four different qualities they’re looking for in a home. They rank those features by importance and reveal their answers to one another. Not surprisingly, Bobby and Danielle don’t match on any of them. This is the first time they completely strike out, and they have the visual to prove it. Both Bobby and Danielle look stunned as they reach their first stalemate as a couple.

Things get even more awkward as the couple sit down to dinner with Bobby’s family. Danielle blurts out that they’re looking for a new house and everyone at the table is shocked. Danielle let the cat out of the bag way too early and Bobby looks mortified. The rest of Bobby’s family thinks it’s a ridiculous idea to buy a house and move now. It’s clear that Bobby gets his practicality from them. Undeterred, Danielle pushes her agenda. Something has to give on Married at First Sight: Happily Ever After.

Danielle needs a reality check on MAFS: Happily Ever After

Danielle needs a reality check. She’s entitled and doesn’t know how to handle anyone telling her no. That’s not entirely her fault, though, as she’s never heard it from her husband. Bobby needs to grow a backbone and learn how to hold his ground. He thinks that a perfect marriage means agreeing to all of Danielle’s demands. As Pastor Calvin uncovers this week, the one-sided nature of this relationship is taking its toll on him. Will they be able to find middle ground or will Danielle continue to bulldoze everything in her path to get her way?
