‘Married at First Sight’: Bao Huong Hoang Terrifies Johnny Lam with Horrifying Past

Even so, the Lifetime celeb, Bao, opened up about her painful past. But, she scared her new husband Johnny more than she might have expected.

Bao took her MAFS husband Johnny to see where she used to live. The trailer she lived in as a child wasn’t there anymore. However, she did have photos of the broken down, fifty-plus-year-old trailer with vines and branches on it.
Johnny Lam looked a little surprised on Married at First Sight. But that wasn’t what made his eyes get big and look freaked out. Bao Huong Hoang began to tell him about things she would do for fun as a little child.
One of the things she did as a kid was to take a bunch of straw and make a house for her “generic Barbies.” This sounded innocent enough, but then she casually said, “I used to put them all inside – and then I would set it on fire.” Johnny couldn’t hide his shock on Married at First Sight.

Bao shared more about her parents and her childhood as she read a letter she wrote to herself when she was younger. She talked about her father and his struggles with PTSD. She also shared that her mother’s grit was the only thing that kept their family together. Johnny Lam said that made it make sense as to why she wanted to stay so strong for her Married at First Sight marriage.
Soap Dirt readers may recall when Bao Huong Hoang started crying about her intense pain, Johnny couldn’t shut her out. Fans were surprised that he put his arm around her on Married at First Sight. While she cried, he tried to comfort her because he said no one should deal with that alone.
Even after this, things didn’t go well on Married at First Sight. They met with Dr. Pepper Schwartz, and that’s when things went downhill. Viewers noticed neither Bao nor Johnny looked like they were in a good mood. But Johnny Lam looked extremely upset at his wife, Bao Huong Hoang.
Married at First Sight: Explosive News Regarding Their Relationship
While meeting with Dr. Pepper, Bao learned some disturbing information. Johnny had spoken with her friend Sara, who told him she was a bad girlfriend. In fact, she said she wouldn’t date Bao Huong Hoang, and she wouldn’t let any of her friends date her either.
Bao felt crushed because her friend was so mean about her. And she said Johnny Lam shouldn’t have spoken to her best friend behind her back. What she failed to mention is that he was also friends with Sara – and had been for over fifteen years.
Johnny Lam told Jamie Otis about this on Married at First Sight Unfiltered. And viewers agreed that this was a big piece of information to leave out of the equation. Hopefully while Bao is sharing stories of her past, she will give all the details and Johnny won’t feel terrified.
