June Shannon Hits New Milestone
Recently, June Shannon reached an incredible milestone. Mama just celebrated two solid years of sobriety — with no relapses. Now, she admits it’s not been an easy journey. And she had to make some big changes to maintain her sobriety.
Surely, fans know June cut ties with her long-time boyfriend, Geno Doak. Although it doesn’t appear that Geno went back to drugs, he continued to drink alcohol — and that’s something June couldn’t tolerate.
She is so committed to staying clean and keeping her life on track that she made the hard decision to leave Geno. But, it seems to be the right choice because she’s doing better than ever.
Mama June: From Not to Hot — Family Going Strong
Currently, June Shannon is in a wonderful place with her daughters. And a fresh start with her girls is something she worked hard to achieve. Now, she is close to Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and also Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, again. Surely, it’s a dream come true.

Mama’s part of her kids’ lives again. And can share incredible moments like Alana’s 16th birthday. And the birth of Pumpkin’s son, Bentley Jameson Efird. Plus, Pumpkin’s first child, Ella Grace Efird, is ecstatic that “Gigi” is back in her life.
Now that she’s in a good place, June Shannon’s focus is on helping others. So, The Masked Singer sensation’s on a mission to help those struggling with addiction. And she hopes her story will inspire other addicts to stay clean.
June Commits to the Greater Good
Now-sober June’s passionate about using her experiences to assist others in their recovery. On her second sober anniversary, she live-streamed to encourage others to share their stories.
Now, that’s something she wants to do often, hopefully, a couple of times a week. And all the Shannons are busy filming their new season for WEtv.
But, June Shannon’s sobriety and the wellbeing of others are essential to her. And her loyalty to her fans is fierce. So, they are a top priority. New episodes of the reality series drop this Spring. We’ll update you on the new season as we learn more.
