Mama June: From Not to Hot – June Shannon Reaches Out
The season 5 first look of Mama June: Road to Redemption determines June Shannon makes an effort to reconnect with her children. It’s been over a year since June Shannon has spoken to her daughters. So, she is eager to reunite. But, they are not making it easy.
June Shannon’s boyfriend Geno Doak reminds her that they hurt their families deeply. After everything Geno and June Shannon put them through, he doesn’t expect them to forgive or forget. Mama and Geno are in a wonderful place in their relationship, promise Mama June: From Not to Hot spoilers.
They live in a beautiful house in Florida that Gina Rodriguez hooked them up with. Geno and Mama want to remain in Florida because it’s close to Banyan Treatment Center. And far away from their addiction triggers. June Shannon says they are getting to know each other again.
Now that they’re not on drugs that cloud their minds. And they seem extremely happy. However, the fact that Mama is still with Geno has Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon on edge. Pumpkin still wants nothing to do with Mama if she is dating Geno on Mama June: From Not to Hot.
Pumpkin Stresses Out
Mama June: From Not to Hot updates confirm that Pumpkin struggles quite a bit as new episodes begin. Pumpkin is stressed out because her husband Josh Efird works in South Carolina all week. He only comes home on the weekends.
Plus, their daughter Ella Grace Efird is in the terrible twos stage. So, she gives Pumpkin a run for her money. Pumpkin also doesn’t get much help, and she is overwhelmed. She feels like she is drowning. To make matters worse, Josh doesn’t answer Pumpkin’s calls and texts very often.
So, her mind goes to the worst-case scenario, and her trust in him may be strained. No doubt, she’s uneasy with him being so far away for so long. Josh says they bicker and fight all of the time on Mama June: From Not to Hot. But it’s hard raising Ella and Alana Thompson (aka Honey Boo Boo) all by herself.
And Pumpkin might resent Josh for not being there to share the parental duties. Currently, Pumpkin doesn’t return Mama’s calls. And part of the reason may be that she can’t handle more stress. But, it is taking its toll on Alana.
Mama June: Road to Redemption – Alana Misses Mama
Mama June: From Not to Hot star Honey Boo Boo would like a reunion with Mama June Shannon. But, Pumpkin is against it as long as she’s involved with Geno. Alana seems to be doing well. She is in school it is fully remote due to COVID-19, so she finds it difficult to make new friends.
Plus, Alana is not a fan of attending school via Zoom. So, getting close to Mama again would surely help. However, deep down, no one is sure they can trust her again. This season, Mama does her best to prove to her family that she is clean and plans to stay that way.
