She is overcome with emotion and brought to tears because Mama squandered her money. Alana sees it as June stole the money from her but June disagrees. She likely doesn’t see it as theft because she wasn’t herself when she was on drugs.

But everyone else believes it’s stealing. It even appears that June’s husband, Justin Stroud, is on Alana’s side. She approaches Justin, wanting to know if he knew Mama took her money. Later, he tells June she is a liar, and she feels their marriage is over for him.

So, chances are, he did not know. And soon, Mama realizes that she still needs to own up to the choices she made during her addiction. And Alana must reconsider her entire future.

In the brand-new season, Alana lashes out at her mother for throwing all of her money away on drugs. June argues that it wasn’t money stolen. But Alana says the real problem is that Mama doesn’t care that she took the money.

Furthermore, she says that June is her mother, but if she has to put her in jail, she will. So, it doesn’t look like she is going to let June get away with stealing her college money.
