Mama June: Family Crisis cast member Alana (Honey Boo Boo) Thompson is now officially a high school graduate. The day that the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star has been waiting for has finally arrived. The Shannon family is feeling sentimental today as they gather to celebrate Mama June Shannon‘s youngest daughter.

Many WEtv fans of Mama June: Family Crisis say they are surprised to see the entire family together for Alana Thompson’s graduation. This is considering the hard feelings they often exhibit towards each other in the family reality series.
The former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star’s family and friends packed the Wilkinson County High School in McIntyre, Georgia. The family rooted for their girl as she walked onto the stage in a yellow cap and gown to receive her diploma.

There to cheer her on was her sister Lauryn Efird, her husband Josh Efird, and their four children, Ella Efird, Bentley Efird, and twins Sylus Efird and Stella Efird. Sisters Jessica Shannon, and Anna Cardwell were also on hand with Anna’s daughters Kaitlyn Cardwell and Kylee Cardwell.
Then, of course, Mama June: Family Crisis stars Shannon and her husband Justin Stroud were also there. In addition, her boyfriend Dralin Carswell, and his family.
Following the graduation ceremony, it looks as if Alana and her family and friends headed home for what appears to be a backyard graduation party celebration. The family enjoyed the happy occasion and took tons of photos to mark her special day.

June Shannon and Lauryn (Pumpkin) Efird of Mama June: Family Crisis both beamed with pride as Alana accepted her diploma. They each posted touching tributes to let her and the world know how proud they are of her.
She wrote, ” I’m so very proud of YOU for that I love you so much alana u did it everyone was there to cheer n holler your name every chance we got n yes y’all I hollered WORK IT SMOOCHIE one last time as she walked across the stage to get her diploma.”
Not to be outdone, Lauryn posted a tribute as well. Some WEtv fans questioned whether the two women were competing over Alana. Viewers know that while June Shannon is Alana’s biological mother, for the past few years, Lauryn and her husband Josh have retained full custody of her younger sister. Lauryn has often said she feels more like her mother than a sister.
Mama June: Family Crisis – What’s Next for Alana?
So, what does the teen reality personality’s next chapter have in store for her? During a recent interview with People magazine Alana’s mom reveals what plans her daughter has for her future.
She says later this fall her daughter will head off to college. However, the Mama June: Family Crisis star keeps her choice of schools private at this time.
Last May, the Mama June: Family Crisis star stated that following her high school graduation she plans to continue her education and pursue a career in neonatal nursing. As for her reality television career? Well, Alana Thompson says she has no plans on making it a full-time career down the road.
