‘Love During Lockup’: Tai Simpson Does the Inmate Juggle

Love During Lockup cast member Tai Simpson is shaking things up this season. She is juggling her many inmate lovers. But it’s not easy hopping from one prison bae to another. So, there’s bound to be some bumps along the way on the WEtv reality spin-off.

Tai Simpson Has Inmates All over the Map on Love During Lockup

Love During Lockup viewers got shocked when Tai Simpson said that she is talking to several inmates. She said there are eight to ten different inmates – per week. And this is outside of the prisoners that Tai is in a committed relationship with.

Indeed, Tai is serious about her dating schedule. She has a vision board that outlines her goals which are marriage, love, and happiness. Tai makes a new one each week and updates them as needed.

Also, the Love During Lockup celeb has a map with the names of her jailbird boyfriends so she can keep track. Now, this might seem like an unusual way to go about dating. But Tai likes to date many inmates because she says it’s like Mr. Potato Head.

She can build her man into the perfect person. And if one man is lacking, she can put him down and pick up another. Plus, Tai’s childhood explains why she prefers to date inmates on Love During Lockup.  

WEtv Star Gets Real about Childhood Trauma

Tai Simpson of Love During Lockup recently revealed the reason behind her love for bad boys. When she was nine years old, her father moved to Seattle, Washington.

And Tai’s grandmother raised her. She kept in touch with her dad via phone calls, and they exchanged pictures. And she explains that it’s like dating an inmate.

So, being in a relationship with someone behind bars is easy for Tai. It’s second nature because that’s how she communicated with her father growing up.

Tai says she doesn’t feel like she’s missing anything because she never had the person, to begin with. Besides it’s clear that the childhood trauma still affects her, which is heartbreaking.

Tai’s method of finding true love on Love During Lockup works well for her. But things sometimes go wrong, as they have with past cast members. Soon, Tai faces a big challenge with her number one man Rio (aka Hottie).

Tai Flips on Love During Lockup

On the premiere of Love During Lockup, Tai got a major shock. A woman called her phone claiming to be Hottie’s girlfriend of 12 years. Of course, she is furious and worries she’s getting played.

Soon, she gets more info from Hottie on the woman who’s shaking up their romance. She goes by the name Boston and claims she’s Hottie’s girl.

Soon, Hottie admits to Tai that Boston gave him a good chunk of money a while back. Then, she comes face-to-face with Boston and things go sideways on Love During Lockup. 

Soon, the two ladies meet up, and it looks like Boston gets out of control and throws a drink at Tai. Then, the claws come out, and things get physical. Tai won’t put up with another woman coming after her man, and she tries to put a stop to it.
