‘Love After Lockup’: Tracie Wagaman’s Brother Speaks About Her Passing
Love After Lockup alumnus Tracie Wagaman, ex-wife of Clint Brady, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2021 – and her brother Mark Wagaman spoke out about her childhood, family, and how he learned of her death.
Love After Lockup: Brother Says Tracie Wagaman Had a Good Childhood
According to her brother, Mark Wagaman, Love After Lockup’s Tracie Wagaman lived a good life as a child. They grew up together, with Tracie pestering her older brother mercilessly. Mark said they had a normal brother-sister relationship, with Tracie following him and his friends around. He said they had a good home and parents who took care of them.
Tracie Wagaman, star of WEtv’s Love After Lockup, loved dogs, her brother said. He talked about a Bassett Hound they had as children. Tracie would dress the dog up in pajamas, which Mark said he thought was crazy at the time. But now, he said putting clothes on pets is the thing to do.
As adults, Mark said he and his sister Tracie Wagaman were close. He indicated they spoke frequently and visited each other regularly. He disagreed with Tracie being on Love After Lockup, but he didn’t interfere with her choices. Mark said some parts of the show were true, and some of it was scripted.
Brother Mark Speaks on Drug Use
Mark Wagaman answered questions about Love After Lockup’s Tracie Wagaman’s drug use. He said his first knowledge of Tracie using drugs was when she was about 14 or 15, and he found a bag of pills in her room. Mark admitted he never told their parents about his discovery.
Before that, Mark said his sister Tracie Wagaman would sneak out of the house, disobeyed their parents, and in general was being a teenager. But only a few days after he found the pills, their parents called an ambulance, and she ended up having her stomach pumped, he says.
RIP @TracieWagaman you were not replaceable. May you find peace, you were loved by many and you will always be alive in our hearts with your fiery autheticness.

Mark said he had no idea what kind of drugs the pills were, but he lives with the regret of not telling his parents at the time. After high school, he saw Love After Lockup’s Tracie Wagaman often, and he is fairly certain nothing was going on with her then, as far as drug use.
Love After Lockup: Still an Active Investigation into Tracie’s Death
Mark confirmed that the family still has no answers about what happened to Tracie Wagaman of Love After Lockup. He sat for an interview with Sharrell’s World (see below). And he said that he was the first person the detectives called to inform the family of her death. Mark recalled it was 7 am, and he was about to leave for work when he received the news that his sibling passed away.
Mark went to his mother’s house to tell her about Tracie’s passing. He said his mother is having a hard time because she spoke to Tracie Wagaman every day. Mark broke down in tears as he described having to tell his mother the news. He said it was the most horrible thing he ever dealt with in his life. There’s more about the Love After Lockup alum in the interview below.
Mark said even though Love After Lockup’s Tracie Wagaman had a substance abuse problem, she was still close to her mother. Tracie could have asked for help at any time, and she would have been welcomed home. Mark addressed concerns about the Go Fund Me he started for her funeral. And he assured viewers it was a legit request from the family. And it’s due to the unexpected expenses related to his sister’s funeral.
Recently, Tracie Wagaman’s ex, Clint Brady shared a few photos of them in happier times including both of their wedding photos. Her death came not long after the birth of her daughter, fathered by her ex-boyfriend, Luke Loera, who’s facing felony charges and reportedly remains behind bars at this time. Rest in peace Tracie.
