Love After Lockup: Rachel Thinks Hubby’s Attitude is Cute
Rachel, of Wetv’s Love After Lockup, grins whenever husband Doug gets bossy on the phone. In a previous episode, she said he was just “flexing.” Rachel describes herself as a former Marine and a person who follows the rules, but she’s attracted to the bad boys. Doug is the third convict she’s dated and she says this time is a charm.
Previously Doug said he would start barking orders again if Rachel didn’t do what he said. She just smirked and didn’t check his attitude while they talked on the phone on Love After Lockup. Doug then said she was too soft on his son, who now lives with her, and said he’ll act like a victim as long as Rachel babies him.

Before getting off the phone, Doug demanded to know, “who’s the boss?” Rachel laughed and confirmed that her husband is the boss. In the latest episode, Doug called and kept interrupting Rachel and used a harsh tone with her until she apologized for not doing what he said. Love After Lockup’s Rachel said Doug is just cranky about his impending release.
Michele Sees Red Flags in Daughter’s Relationship
The Love After Lockup star met her mother Michele to talk, and mom brought up some concerns about her new son-in-law. Rachel is a successful engineer and has dated other career-minded men, but those didn’t work out. Michele said her daughter’s last husband turned out to be a drug addict and an abuser.
Michele doesn’t want anyone playing with Rachel’s head and taking advantage of her. Mom asked how much money she spent on Doug so far? Rachel confirmed the amount around 30k but pointed out that it was food, travel, hotels, and phone calls. The Love After Lockup celeb was rather blasé about the money, saying she couldn’t take it to the grave.
Rachel said Doug worships her and even offered to have her name tattooed on his privates, but she graciously refused. Fans of Love After Lockup are not convinced and say Doug is abusing her and hope she gets therapy. 25 phone calls a day to curse his wife out over things is excessive, fans say.
Love After Lockup: Blind Love for Rachel?
Rachel will have to overlook a lot of faults in Doug once he gets out of prison. He’s been bossy and controlling over the phone. She herself admits Doug is not a rule follower. Rachel told Love After Lockup fans the longest time her husband spent out of jail is 40 days. Mom Michele said her daughter will do as she pleases, no matter what.
But Mom will be watching to see if Doug treats her daughter right or not. Rachel knows her mom disapproves of her dating an inmate, but she insists it doesn’t matter where they met. Michele agreed and said love is blind, and Doug needs to grow up. He has a lot to learn about parenting and life in general. Michele just hopes Rachel learned from her previous mistakes on Love After Lockup.
Rachel and Doug have never lived together, nor had a chance to consummate the marriage due to his incarceration. Will their love stand the test of togetherness?
