Little People, Big World patriarch Matt Roloff has a lot to celebrate this weekend. The TLC cast member says he feels blessed this weekend. He wants to thank everyone who has sent their prayers and well wishes during his son Zach Roloff‘s recent medical emergency.
Little People, Big World: Matt Roloff Shows Gratitude to Fans
The Little People, Big World family recently had a few scary days. Matt Roloff’s son Zach suffered a medical emergency earlier in the week and recently underwent an emergency operation to replace a shunt in his head.
Shunt revision surgery is also known as ventriculoperitoneal shunting. It is a procedure to treat excess cerebrospinal fluid in the brain’s cavities.
Matt wanted to acknowledge all the LPBW followers who have been praying and showing support for them, especially Zach, through this ordeal.
He wants everyone to know how grateful the entire family is. Matt says he knows it is “an underestimate to say the entire family felt the love and support from so many around the world.”
TLC Star Shares Health Update on Zach Roloff
The Little People, Big World dad, also wanted to include an update. He has kept in touch with everyone during this time. He adds that Tori has contacted him and told him the surgery was successful.
Tori’s latest update says that Zach has been discharged from the hospital and is now at home to finish his recovery. They expect him to be back on his feet in the next couple of weeks.
TLC LPBW viewers know that the past couple of years have been stressful. There have been a lot of disagreements among them over some of the decisions he has made concerning the farm. So they are happy to see they are starting to try to come together again.
LPBW: Matt Sees Life Differently?
Matt said he could not be at the hospital during his son’s operation due to being out of town. But he says he was there in spirit.
Recently some Little People, Big World fans say they have noticed that there seems to have been a change in Matt. They seem to be correct. He says he sees things differently since he lost his father, Ron Roloff, last year.
The LPBW star says after losing his dad so suddenly, has taught him not to take life or the people in his life for granted. He is currently in Arizona with his mother, Peggy Roloff, celebrating her 81st birthday.
He wanted to make sure her birthday was a special one. Especially since it was her first one without his father by her side.
Matt Roloff says he has been spending much more time traveling back and forth to visit his mom this year. He wants to ensure he upholds his father’s promise and looks after his mom.
It also gives him more time away from the farm. He says he left his son Jacob Roloff in charge of the farm business, including the short-term rentals.
Little People Big World supporters know that the farm is still a touchy subject for them. But they are holding on to the hope that they will find a way to agree and keep Roloff Farms legacy for many generations.
