‘Little People, Big World’: Are Jeremy & Audrey Roloff Putting the Kids in Danger?

Little People, Big World parents, Jeremy Roloff and Audrey Roloff, love living on their farm with their three small children, Ember Roloff, Bode Roloff, and Radley Roloff. They say they enjoy having the space and opportunities to allow their children to have many pets, but some of these experiences can be risky to their health.

Little People, Big World: Jeremy Roloff Gives His Children an Assignment

Jeremy Roloff and his wife, Audrey Roloff of Little People, Big World, recently revealed their latest farm project. Earlier this month, the family welcomed the arrival of several baby chicks. Jeremy says the kids are excited about the additions and can’t wait to interact with their new friends.

So, to make the chick’s transition to their new living quarters easier, Jeremy wants the children to spend plenty of time interacting with them, so the birds become accustomed to their surroundings and owners.

To do this, the former TLC LPBW star assigned some new responsibilities to his children, especially his daughter Ember. So, he told her he needed her to go inside the chicks’ pen several times a day to ensure that the chicks felt at ease with them.

LPBW: Roloff Children Face Health Risks

The Little People, Big World dad’s parenting decision was debated by his followers. Audrey and Jeremy say they have grown accustomed to some fans not always seeing eye-to-eye with the decisions and choices they make for their family.

While many believe allowing children to learn responsibility in caring for the baby chicks is a wonderful and fun idea, others do not.

Some disagree with Ember, Bode, and Radley’s hands-on interaction with the chicks. This is because it could pose a potentially serious health risk.

The Centers for Disease Control strongly advise not to allow children five years and younger to handle or touch chicks, ducklings, or other poultry. The CDC warns that young children are likely to become sick from germs the birds carry, such as Salmonella.

They understand that keeping poultry can be a fun and educational experience for children. However, they warn that birds carry many germs that can cause various illnesses in people, especially young children.

These can range from skin infections to more severe illnesses, including Salmonella. They offer sound advice for Little People, Big World family, and everyone.

Little People, Big World: Audrey & Jeremy Ignore Outside Parenting Advice

Audrey Roloff and her spouse Jeremy Roloff of LPBW, say they get tons of outside parenting advice and criticism. While they appreciate the concern, they choose to ignore most of it. Audrey assures her followers they are capable parents. They would never do anything intentionally to harm or put their children in danger.
