Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry recently revealed some big news about one of her close friends. During her Barely Famous podcast, Kail’s guests included film director Lola Blanc and actress Meagan Grainger.
Teen Mom: Kailyn Lowry Shares Story About Her Friend Who Was in A Cult
During the podcast, Kailyn Lowry added to the conversation by suggesting that one of her friends also spent a brief period in a cult. Unfortunately, the Teen Mom star did not mention which friend she was referring to. However, many listeners believe they know who the friend may be.
She says, “I have a friend who was in a cult for a short time. And when you’re in a state of almost brainwashing.” Kailyn continues, “You can’t convince them to get out, and like, everything that I was saying to her, she was, like, not receptive. You know what I’m saying?”
The former TM2 star went on to describe her conversation with her friend. She says she told her she was trying to help her.
Lowry adds, “I was trying to tell these other people that she was recruiting.” Kailyn then says that she told them, “This is not what you think it is. This is a cult, and I don’t even think she realized it was a cult.”

MTV Fans Try to Guess Who Kailyn’s Friend Is
Kailyn posted the clip from her podcast on her social media, and her followers immediately began speculating which of the Teen Mom star’s friends she was talking about.
Most of Kailyn Lowry’s social media followers quickly began guessing that Lowry’s friend was Leah Messer. One of her commenters writes, “Your talking about Leah right? Because I remember her posting some weird stuff about a group from California a year ago.”
Another fan writes, “Yooooo…Leah even deleted all the pictures she had posted during those retreats and such. I don’t blame her in the slightest, of course-truly glad she got out of their safe.”
Of course, the TM2 star will not reveal her friend’s name. However, Kailyn continues saying that the two of them have never spoken about it. But she is so glad she made it out of the cult.

Why TM2 Followers Believe Lowry Is Talking About Leah Messer
In 2019 reports revealed that the MTV star Leah Messer began posting on her socials about being involved with Mastery in Transformational Training, also known as MITT.
Numerous former members of the group have accused the organization of being a cult. During this time, Leah reportedly began to post worrisome comments about the organization.
One particularly concerning post from Messer states, “A powerful, strong and trusting force we are. I love each and every single one of you. You can count on my word. Each of you have changed my life, and we will forever be connected!!”
The reports reveal in October, TM2’s Leah began attempting to recruit celebrities such as Beyonce, Madonna, Ricky Martin, and Rhianna.
Several weeks later, Messer allegedly began attempting to recruit her social media followers. Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry then became very concerned about Leah and began expressing her concern on social media. As a result, Messer reportedly left the organization in 2020.
Their Friendship Was Never the Same for the Teen Mom Stars
