Is Lucas Leaving ‘Days of our Lives’ – Bryan Dattilo Out?
Is Lucas Horton leaving Days of our Lives? Things look dire for Bryan Dattilo’s character as he faces three years in prison. Now, he’s doing the rounds to say goodbye. But is this really the end of his run — and is “Lumi” over once and for all on the NBC soap?
Is Lucas Leaving Days of our Lives?
Lucas Horton’s been evading the long arm of the law for over a year now. In a fit of jealousy, he kidnapped Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) to keep her from reuniting with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). Kate Roberts’ (Lauren Koslow) son went to extremes on DOOL.
At first, no one knew Sami was kidnapped at all. Then, on Days of our Lives, five months later, Lucas “rescued” his ex-wife. And then, he framed EJ for the crime. Plus, he got Sami to agree to marry him. And he almost got away with all of it.

But, thanks to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), the wedding imploded right before Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) said “man and wife”. Once Chad revealed that he was Lucas Horton’s co-conspirator, Sami dumped him and then left town. Then, the police filed charges against him.
And everything began to fall apart. Initially, on Days of our Lives, he planned a vigorous defense and entered a not-guilty plea. But after Alli Horton (Lindsay Arnold) reamed him, he changed his mind and pled guilty. So, is Lucas leaving soon on Days?
Bryan Dattilo Out at DOOL (for Now)
It doesn’t seem like anything can save Lucas from his fate on the NBC soap. Nor should it. After all, EJ languished at Statesville as a wrongly convicted inmate. Of course, Satan had a hand in that. But now, he’s ready to pay for his crime.
Lucas revealed to his mom Kate on Days of our Lives that he’d negotiated a pretty lenient three-year sentence. Considering that he kidnapped someone and held them prisoner for months, that is not so bad. His mom’s upset but also proud of her son.
Now, it’s time for Lucas Horton to button up the denim shirt that all inmates at the local prison wear. And that begs the question of whether they’ll keep featuring him in NBC soap scenes or not. After all, they kept other prisoners on the show while incarcerated.
Most recently, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) remained on the soap while imprisoned. And Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) stayed recurring while behind bars. So, will Bryan Dattilo leave Days of our Lives? It seems likely that he will.
Lucas Horton Exits Days of our Lives
Now, on DOOL, Lucas continues saying his goodbyes. He contacted Allie to tell her farewell. And his son, Will Horton (Chandler Massey) is out of town. So, it could be that the confessed kidnapper exits very soon — possibly this week.
Lucas Horton should leave Salem very soon with a lengthy prison sentence looming. And unless Kate’s got some leverage to use to blackmail the sketchy governor, her boy’s going to be behind bars for the foreseeable future.
Sami left town already, so there’s not much reason for writers to keep him around. So, get ready to say goodbye as Lucas Horton leaves Salem, headed for prison on DOOL. But we know that, like death, incarceration never lasts long on the NBC sudser.
