Fans first met June Shannon and her youngest daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson on the TLC reality series Toddlers & Tiaras back in 2009. Fans were amused by little Honey Boo Boo’s attitude and outgoing personality.
Soon, she and her family scored their family reality series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. That family centered series ran on TLC from 2012 to 2014. The cameras followed the lives of Honey Boo Boo Child and her sisters plus their mom June down in Georgia.
Alana and her family navigated the world of child beauty pageants. The family’s crazy antics and bold personalities held viewers’ interest for only two seasons. After a couple of years, they got a new show over on WEtv.
In 2017, they were back with Mama June: From Not To Hot. The show followed June’s weight transformation from 460 pounds down to a svelte 160 pounds. She wound up a size 4,
However, things in Mama June’s life quickly spiraled out of control. June and then-boyfriend Geno Doak fell into addiction. It eventually found June Shannon behind bars.

Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird Busy Raising 2 Kids and Her Younger Sister
June’s second youngest is Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, born January 7, 2000. For years, Lauryn was raised believing that her father was Mark McDaniel. He was June’s former partner. There is controversy involving McDaniel and her daughter Anna.
Following the dispute, June admitted to Lauryn that she was unsure who’s her biological father. Now, Lauryn is married to Josh Efird since April of 2018. The couple spent the past couple of years taking care of her younger sister Alana on Mama June: From Not to Hot.
Lauryn and Josh are also parents to two children, daughter Ella Efird, born December 8, 2017. And son Bentley Efird, born on July 21, 2021. The family currently resides in Gordon, Georgia.
