‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Will Sonny Corinthos Marry Nina Reeves?
Will Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) marry Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) on General Hospital? Spoilers see the couple getting more involved. So will they head down the aisle soon? After all, Sonny’s a serial groom who’s married a few ladies.
General Hospital: Does Nina Reeves Love Mike or Sonny Corinthos?
Before Nixon Falls, Nina Reeves and Sonny Corinthos didn’t know each other very well. But when Nina went to visit her friend Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) in Nixon Falls, she found Sonny. He had amnesia and was calling himself Mike.
Her decision to keep his ID a secret affected them and their General Hospital families. Mike was a kinder, gentler version of Sonny. He was sweet and patient and a great help to Phyllis and her husband Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) at The Tan-O.
Nina was in need of a change and liked the easygoing life in Nixon Falls. She couldn’t help but fall for Mike and he felt the same about her. It would have been a wonderful General Hospital romance, if only it wasn’t all make-believe.

When Sonny regained his memory, he ran back to Port Charles and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), devastating Nina. But Sonny wasn’t Mike. The real Mr. Corinthos is strong and a little terrifying when he wants to be. That was not the man Ms. Reeves fell for.
Now, Nina’s getting to know the real Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital. The mob boss retained some of Mike’s good qualities. But he’s still a very strong personality.
Nina should probably get to know this new man before jumping into something that may surprise her. Some GH residents have warned her away, most recently Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner).
Sonny & Carly Corinthos Seem Split for Good on GH
When Sonny Corinthos returned to his family, he thought life would go back to the way it was. That was definitely not the case. He changed, and so did those around him.
He still had feelings for his Nixon Falls love, and Carly had feelings for his best friend, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). The longtime General Hospital couple tried to make it work but it didn’t happen.
When Carly found out about her husband’s feelings for her sworn enemy, she could not forgive him. Catching the two of them in bed together sealed the deal. Carly filed for divorce.
Mr. and Mrs. Corinthos have been back and forth many times on General Hospital. This is not their first divorce. But, for the time being, their split is a done deal.
Carly cannot forgive him and he seems to be accepting that it is over. It looks like she now has eyes for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). It sure seems like the ABC soap plans to keep “CarSon” apart for the foreseeable future.
Nina Reeves Romanced on General Hospital
The path is now clear for a real General Hospital romance between Sonny and Nina Reeves. Sonny enjoyed being Mike and being with Nina reminds him of that.
The Crimson Editor looked like she was having reservations about the mob boss. His drinking and his temper scared her. He was not acting like the man she thought he was.
But he is now cutting down on the alcohol and seems softer around Nina. They even recreated their time at the Tan-O by dancing around Charley’s Pub.

The two are falling for each other but for real this time. There are definitely some obstacles to their relationship, most notably Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
Michael does not approve of his father’s new love. He made his feelings very clear, but that isn’t stopping Sonny. He seems to be going full force with Nina. Marriage looks like it on the horizon for these two General Hospital lovebirds.
This couple stirs up plenty of controversy on the ABC soap and there will certainly be more to come. Especially if they decide to walk down the aisle and make Nina Reeves the latest mob bride of Sonny Corinthos.
